January Ornament Freebie

Well, less than a week to go before Sean comes home. I can hardly wait!

So.... I got pulled over again today by the cops. Really I'm not that bad of a driver. First of all this is my bike. Yes it looks like a gas scooter similar to Vespa's and such however ... its not.

So here I am getting ready to make a left hand turn at the lights in front of where I work and a minivan pulls up next to me and the driver looks over and says, "Hi, how you doing?" I in return said "Great, you?" Then he proceeds to flash his badge at me and asks "How many laws do you think your breaking right now?" I of course started to laugh and told him, "Actually, none... this is a power assisted bicycle and if you want to sort this out, I'm pulling in here where I work and I can give you all the details."

I guess since I didn't have a license plate, was wearing a bicycle helmet and was riding close to the right hand side of the lane he felt I was breaking a few laws. In reality I wasn't since here in Ontario and eight other Provinces all that is required to drive one of these is to be 16, wear a bicycle helmet and not drive on major highways. You don't need insurance, plates, drivers license or motorcycle helmet to drive one of these things. Want more information, check out Greenwit Tech, Motorino CA

Okay so tonight's freebie is the January Ornament which is Alora's Birth Month. When I met her and her Dad, she was a tiny girl, she is 14 now but as tall as her dad... and not a little girl anymore. She is all grown up and doesn't look her age, especially when she dresses up.

Created at 300 dpi, in .png format in a zip'd file

And before I forget, the font I use is Edwardian Script, ITC I googled it and a free one can be found here but I cannot guarantee is an exact match (although it does look the same from what I can see from the preview) the one I have is from ITC Fonts.

  1. Thanks for the January ornament. Love this red. My Dad is a January baby. I have to see if he has any baby pictures. My computer is down again so I'm back to the kids computer. Vista is giving me grief. Love the power assisted bicycle, it looks really cool. Have a wonderful day!

  4. Hey, I didn't realize you were a fellow Ontario resident - Hi from Windsor, where some cops still give people in power wheelchairs & scooter type mobility assist devices a hard time for being on the sidewalk, even though a yeaar ago the province finally clarified the law on that point.
