I'm going to miss him even though he has already lived away from home for almost two years now. He was just never THAT far away.

New Kits on Sale, a Freebie and What is next

The end of the month and beginning of the month is always really busy for me at work since I am responsible for collecting rents, mortgage payments and making sure all bills are paid and such. Last week was a short week for us as Monday was a holiday here and the rest of the week was EXTREMELY busy. Lucky me had a migraine on Sunday and Monday and I was able to head back to work today but I will be off again Thursday and Friday as my son Robert will be finishing up his Infantry Training and then heading off to Manitoba after that.

So I have a new kit up in the store and all portions are available individually or as a whole and will be on sale for 20% off until Sunday. The kit is called Family Camping and the colours I chose were from the MEC catalog (Mountain Equipment Co-op) I have to say it is one of Sean's favorite stores and am secretly thankful that we don't have one here in North Bay as I'd never see him. I've named the characters in the kit after people in our family and I created four versions of each person in various skin tone's and hair colours.

In this elements preview from Left to Right the characters are Sean (funny thing is he does wear a hat like that out by the evening campfire), Tanya (my oldest daughter), Marc (the middle son) and Nathalie (me). Not all elements are shown in this preview but it does give you a good idea of what is in the kit. You will also find the paper flowers, frames (like in the frame cluster kit) and ribbons and such as part of this element pack. On sale until Sunday August 14th at 20% off here.

Family Camping Quick Page Freebie

Tonight's layout does not have the picture I wanted to put in it. When I created this, I knew I had a picture of Tanya and Alexandra dancing on the beach in front of a campfire singing "There ain't no flies on us" at the top of their lungs and the kids across the lake would sing it back, however I couldn't find it...so I had to change it up a bit..... found a picture of this cute..... "Kitty Cat".

I was thinking of a story Sean told me of when he and his first wife were married and they had two large ferrets and the first night at thier new home when they were posted to Ottawa, he got a call at work from her saying the ferrets had gotten out of the house, probably through the dryer vent. Well Sean being an Military Police Officer went home in uniform, flashlight out, looking for these two little guys around the house, in the dark. At one point he figured perhaps he should go to the neighbors introduce himself and let them know what he was doing. So he goes to the door and knocks, introduces himself and tells them he is looking for his two ferrets. Neighbour starts laughing and say's, oh that's what those things are....kids found them outside and they seemed friendly so we brought them in the house. Now I don't know about you but if I found an animal outside that I had never seen and didn't know anything about but seemed friendly but I wouldn't bring them into the house with my kids.

Quick Page, Desktop Wallpaper, Calender Freebie

eI know I said I'd post this last evening so you could download it this morning or late last night however (and this was a BIG however) my hard drive started acting up last night and I had most things on it backed up however it had been two months since my last backup, so I rushed out and bought a new hard drive and started backing up HD. Wouldn't you know though... I couldn't just copy and paste everything over, it wouldn't let me copy anything larger than 25Gigs in most cases so I had the wonderful task of copying approximately 500Gigs of stuff in 25Gig increments. Luckily around 3AM this morning it finally let me move 129Gigs of photo's over in one batch however it is still 53 minutes away from being transferred over. Needless to say, I'm going to back up more frequently after this. LOL

So I went to the midway last evening as well with Marc and Alexandra and their new friend Carley. It was a lot of fun. We let one of the carney's guess my age... he guessed 36 (I'm actually 42....just a little off!) Then Alex and I went off to spend $8.00 to win a stuffed frog. We are going to give it to my nephew who is one. Carley was so excited, we helped her win a big monkey, she was so excited as she had never been to a midway before. She moved here about a year ago from the east coast, her dad is military as well and in the past year here she really has not met any friends. The base here is really small and even though she is only 17 she graduated high school at 16, and works on the base (did I mention it's a really, really small base) so there have not been many opportunities for her to meet new people her age. We had so much fun together the four of us and I bought the biggest bag of cotton candy we could find and gave ourselves a sugar high! LOL. I teased the kids when we got home, that they must be the coolest kids in all of North Bay... they wanted to spend Friday Night with their MOM and new friend AND out in public too!

So the new kit I was suppose to unveil this weekend is called "Family Camping" and due to computer issues will not be in the stores today as expected as all the previews are not done. However I do have the Quick Pages I created using this kit to show you... what do you think? Just so you know, two people who regularly visit my blog and comment were lucky enough to get these quick pages via e-mail as a surprise gift for commenting so often on my posts. (Hint, hint... never know when I may feel generous!)

So here are your freebies. I have created this Quick Page, Calender, Desktop Wallpaper in two sizes. Using my new kit "Family Camping" which I hope to upload to the store as soon as I have these computer issues resolved. I showed this layout I did for our desktops and he leaned over and rubbed Bullet's back and head and said..."Bullet, your going to be famous!" lol. So I hope you enjoy this layout and think of Bullet our dog as famous from now on!

Freebie-Elements

Well my back is feeling better today and with Sean back on shifts as of Monday we were up early. I couldn't fall back to sleep after he left, so I got up got dressed, changed my mind about what I was going to wear, changed again, then one more time... looked for my Twigg's coffee mug, texted Sean-asked him if he had it. (He had one of them at work) Took the dog for a walk to Twiggs our local coffee shop, got there and my bank card was rejected but since Alexandra works there they let me take my coffee. Walked back home, finished getting ready for work, left a chore list for the kids, asked TC if he isn't working this weekend if he is interested in helping my brother's Marcel and Emmanuel build a deck at the cottage for my Dad, went back to Twiggs to pay for my coffee, stopped at the drug store for their generic brand of Robaxacet, arrived at work and relaxed.

Whew...!

Today's download is my final part of the Cozy at Home kit I did for IvyScraps Collab last year. I am not sure what I will post tomorrow night however on Friday evening I will be uploading a Desktop, Quick Page, Calender created with a new kit I hope to upload to the store sometime this weekend. Here is a preview of the one I am using on my computer. I used pictures of Bullet our dog and Sean from last year's weekend at the cottage.

This preview doesn't give you much of a hint as to the theme of my new kit but what do you think of the QP? I'll post another hint/preview with Friday's post In the meantime, please enjoy tonight's element freebie.

Freebie-Part 2 Papers

Our house is finally quiet as of yesterday afternoon. Last Thursday we invited Rich & Liz our scuba instructor and his wife over for dinner. Because she works here in town and they live about 35 minutes away, we suggested that Rich grab his two dogs when he went home to change as they had been home all day. So here we are BBQing with three full sized dogs when surprise, surprise in comes Tanya and her boyfriend Matt with their two Rottweilers. FIVE very big dogs in the house now 6 adults, 3 teens, a ferret which looked like dinner to one of the dogs, a bird that had another dog very interested in a snack, two sugar gliders who were thankfully sleeping and unseen-all on the hottest day of the year so being outside was not appealing to any of the dogs. Tanya and Matt went home yesterday with their dogs although we will get the girls back in August for one last time before she moves out to BC. I'm going to miss those fur balls though.

Another Freebie-Part 1-Papers

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. I did dispite the fact I hurt my back as I was getting my scuba gear ready to go diving. (Yes, I was a the lake already and so was everyone else). Needless to say diving ended up being a no go for me and Sean backed out since I couldn't go even though I told him to go, I'd just lay on the blanket till the dive was over. I still managed to have a great time Saturday afternoon at my girlfriend Sarah's place. She lives right on the beach here in town and she organized a girls afternoon at her house with two teenagers my daughter Alexandra's age, a little girl from our congregation that is so enthralled with Alexandra, her mom and one other lady. We had so much fun. Sarah and Adam went to a lot of trouble planning a "Pirate Treasure Hunt". They even tea stained paper and burnt the edges to age it. The clues were so much fun and one clue led to their basement but access to it was only from outside the house. To enter you had to pull up this metal door, go down a ladder and enter this windowless, dark cement room (more like a dungeon if you asked me). But Adam had put old wood up against one wall to make it look like the inside of a ship below the waterline, and an old table and lit some candles on it... which is were the clue was hidden.

Our treasure.... plastic tiara's, candy rings, candy necklaces, chocolate money, nail polish, the girls got beach bags, we ladies were given evening bags and little Charliegh got a beach wrap. Sarah told us she went to Value Village for our evening bags, we couldn't believe it as they seemed brand new. Adam was the perfect gentleman, he BBQ'd for us and I was able to spend the afternoon sitting in a chair in the water relaxing and soaking up the sun and enjoying the company of some of the nicest ladies I know.

The three teens didn't really know each other well before our get together but they sure behaved like the best of friends by the end of the day. They suggested we have another get together soon-which was nice to hear.

So my freebie today is another set I did for last years IvyScraps Collab. The theme was "Cozy at Home" so I created some furniture and created a few papers. I hope you enjoy this kit. So my Saturday meeting my daughter's boyfriend went well. I think Tanya was more nervous than either Sean or I was and I think she was worried we would embarass her by recounting some story or something about her or asking him questions like what are his intentions...lol. Sean and I both thought he is a nice guy. We were able to enjoy a nice dinner together before they headed back to Sudbury with the two dogs. I hope he can handle them this week in her small apartment as they are both very active and one of them acts more like a lap dog than a rottweiler. I wish him luck this week with them.

Another Freebie-Part 1

It was another hot day here today! Sean also had a bit of an adventure that didn't thrill him today. Alexandra and one of her girlfriends and I went blueberry picking and we brought Sean and the dog along. Sounds great right? LOL, WELL, Bullet and her ball which she always carries decided to go for a walk through the bush where she found a swamp and then dropped her ball into the swamp... and started barking, and barking and barking. Of course we were worried about where she had disappeared to and went looking for her when we heard the barking and when Sean found her she wouldn't just leave her ball there. Sean had to get a little wet in the very smelly swamp to rescue her ball. To say he was upset... would be putting it mildly. The dog was wet and Sean was wet (and smelly) and of course the car was clean and we didn't have a towel or blanket for either one of them. I did manage to get a couple cups of blueberries, and I reminded Bullet and Sean that love is getting wet and stinky to rescue a dogs ball when the dog has more of the same at home.

So tonight's freebie is a two part freebie and is my portion of the IvyScraps collab I did last summer for them. Tonight it is the papers, tomorrow the elements. Part 2 Freebie

It was another beautiful and sunny day here. I went for a walk to the bank on my lunch hour to transfer money from my account to my daughter's Alexandra. I made a deal with her at the beginning of the second semester that for every 90% she got I'd give her $100.00, for every 80% I'd give her $50.00 and every 70% I'd give her $25.00. Anything less than a 69% no money. Needless to say she has been anxiously awaiting her report card to find out how much I owed her! Two 80's and one 70, and one very high 60. (It was like 69%) so I deposited $125.oo into her account. She is thrilled.

Now I realize this may seem like an expensive thing to do however we have had a discussion regarding Birthday Gifts and Christmas Gifts. The subject being... do you really need them? What purpose do they serve and what would you appreciate more? So, in lieu of Birthday Gifts for my kids, we are doing money for grades. We have also decided that Christmas is too commercialized that we are going to plan a family event week, no gifts except for our parents and the little one's and my kids will get something that they really want as it comes up during the year. (Marc is planning a holiday so I'll give him money for his vacation to help him out, Alex-well probably will end up being money for a new laptop or something, or along those lines. Robert is moving to Alberta and into his own house, so it will be a Walmart Card to buy household items. Really, the kids have everything they need, all my kids work and can save and buy themselves things they want. I mean do they really need another sweater or nick-knack from Aunt Martha or toiletries gift basket from Uncle Buck and his new girlfriend? (We don't have an Aunt Martha or Uncle Buck... but you get the picture I'm sure!)

Well, I had an amazing day yesterday and that has made me change my mind about what to do with my portion of last July's IvyScraps Mega Collaboration. I was going to offer my portion of the collabs as a grab bag of mini kits but I'm going to give it away here instead first! lol.

So what did I do yesterday that put me in such a great mood? I went scuba diving which I really have missed doing as the club gets together on Sunday and I've missed because I'm going to meeting instead. So I was thrilled that Wednesday Evening Dives were suggested. I was even more thrilled that Sean thought of attaching the GoPro camera to a dive light. This is what I managed to catch on video.... I was in only 13-20 feet of water in this video... at 30 feet the water was 57 degree's F (14 C) and went through two thermalclines. Mind you in the first 13 feet, water was in the 70's.

I love watching all forms of nature underwater from fish, to crayfish, to the sharks and stingrays we saw when we were in the Dominican. I hope that I'll be able to show more video's of what I see diving on here as the summer progresses.

I received a nice surprise last night after midnight.....my son Robert who is in the military showed up at the house. Quick Page Freebie and New Kit Preview

I've missed posting since the School Adventure Kit finished the end of June. I hope everyone enjoyed the weekend as here in Canada it was Canada Day July 1st, and in the US it was Independence Day on July 4th so most of us had long weekends. I ended up at my parents cottage with Sean and my daughter Tanya and the three dogs. I was amazed at Bullet our Pitbull as last year was the first time she had ever gone into the water to play but this year we couldn't get her out. Even when we were sitting around the campfire and getting ready to head inside we had to call her out of the water. It was cute the next day when we were eating lunch she was inside with us and looking out the patio doors down to the lake whimpering......we could tell she wanted back out to play in the water. My daughter's dogs, Bonnie and Jersey 2 Rottweilers kept wanting us to throw sticks in for them to fetch, although Bonnie wouldn't go in too far.

So here is another preview of the Beach Kit I'm working on, I created this layout using pictures of Sean & I when we were in the Dominican. For his Birthday I took him swimming with the Sharks and Stingrays. I think I'm going to use this layout as the cover of an album with some of our trip pictures. What do you think?

Tonight's freebie also comes from the same Beach Kit. I have asked Michelle and her kids to come up with a name for my kit. Michelle always comments on my blog and I though it might a nice challenge for her and the kids... I can't wait to see what they come up with. The picture I have used in my layout using tonight's freebie QP is from the same trip, I know the camera is a little foggy in this picture but while on the boat heading out to the reef Sean's Birthday was announced and this wonderful lady (LOL) came to have her picture taken with Sean. Birthday Kisses were offered.... and politely refused....lol.

Just wanted to share a wallpaper I created for the month of July using items from the new kit I'm creating. In the preview below I have used pictures of Sean and I in the Dominican from 2009 before his tour overseas. We celebrated his Birthday down there and this was my gift to him swimming with the Sharks and Stingrays. Don't worry they were nurse sharks and stingrays with no stingers... it was amazing. Then again... I love pretty much anything to do with watching nature in the water.

I want to apologize for the mix up the last few days of the School Adventure Kit. I have been trying to find an online server to store my files so that you can get direct downloads and not have to wait to access my files. Pictures of Alex and Tanner going to the Prom

Just wanted to quickly share some pictures of Alexandra and Tanner on their way to the prom. (Tanner is graduating, Alex is still only in Grade 10) Yes, I was a little excited about her going and I hope she is out having fun.

Sean on the other hand I think almost choked when she asked permission to stay out all night! One of her friends she has had since grade 5 was having an after prom party at his place, they have a bit of property and a whole bunch of kids have set up tents there, built a bonfire, have PARENTS supervising... so we took them out there a short while ago.

I'm tired this evening as I was carried away last night working a new alphabet set for a kit I'm working on. Needless to say this new kit's Alpha is a little more time consuming than I expected but secretly I'm going to have to admit I think this new kit is some of my best work and I feel my alpha is the best scrapbooking elements I've ever created. I was up until 2:30 last night working on these... (I must warn you however these will not be offered as freebies and will be an Add-On to my new beach kit.)

Well, here it is the final post for the School Adventure Kit. Not all elements are shown, but there are four basic graduation colours for the caps and gowns... pink, blue, red and black. I have also included blank award ribbons, this way you can write whatever you may like on them... Perhaps Honors, Most Athletic, Most Improved etc, etc.... plenty of options. I particularly like the wire words and the loose beads. Graduation tassels are included with the years 2010 to 2015. I hope you enjoy these elements.

Grad Paper Freebie

Its been a good day.....I was able to sleep in and when I did wake up Sean was bringing me my coffee in my spill proof mug.(A Contigo AutoSeal, spill proof Vacuumed Insulated Mug) Don't laugh but Dan our maintenance worker at work received one of these mugs as a Christmas gift and was telling me how much he loves it as it kept his coffee hot for hours and was spill proof. Now if you knew me even a little bit one thing you would quickly learn is that as much as I enjoy a good cup of coffee, I drink it very slowly. A few years back Sean bought me one of those cup warming gizmo's for my desk so I could keep my coffee warm but it does create a skim on the top of your coffee if left too long. Not appetizing. So, I bought a pair at Costco's and I have fallen in love with it. Like the idea that I can just toss it into my purse, like it even better that it keeps my coffee hot/warm for the advertised 6 hours and it is stainless steel so I don't have to worry about it breaking any time soon. I paid something like $22 for two mugs at Costco... so if your looking for a good coffee mug...check these out. Finally Friday...(or it was still Friday a few minutes ago) and the weekend is here. It was a steady day at work... plenty to do and I was still at it when 4:30 came around and it was time to go home. This evening was quiet here, Sean and I watched a movie, hence I'm posting so late. Alexandra showed Sean the dress she bought at le Chateau for Tanner's Prom. She is excited about it and is not sure how she is going to do her hair for the event. I still can't get over she spent $300 on just her dress. I teased her and asked her if Tanner was worth it....she said YES. They have been dating for almost a year and he is a nice young man. He is in the reserves, this was his last year of High School but being only 17 and not ready for College or anything else, he is going to do another year of High School before joining the military full time. (At least that is what I think his career plans are at the moment.) Of course I will post pictures of the two of them together... I'm actually excited for her and I'm sure she will have a great time.

Numbers Freebie -Style 4, and My Adventure

I've named my evening "My Adventure" for lack of better words. I was going to go visit my daughter this past weekend in Sudbury but decided against it due to not feeling well with my Kidney infection... going to the hospital for IV antibiotics kind of put a damper on that idea along with the nausea etc. Anyway around 3 yesterday I decided yes.... I will go for a quick visit as I did promise her I'd bring her a few things from home and I had bought her dogs some duck treats so Alexandra and I headed off for the hour and little bit drive... when I got there all I wanted to do was lay down and rest but we picked up dog food and went to Costco's for water bottles I had wanted and brownies for Alexandra's pot luck lunch today... went back to Tanya's place and crashed on her chair outside, she BBQ'd steak and grilled up some peppers with olive oil and Montreal steak spice.... really really good. We went home shortly after that as I did not want to stay too long, and drive back in the dark. There are plenty of deer and moose hit between North Bay and Sudbury....I did not want to be the next who hit a deer...(I had already backed up into the neighbor this month and dented the trunk)

So, we are almost home, my back is killing me on both sides... felt like I'd been sucker punched, my head ached and I wanted to go to bed. Up ahead (way ahead) I can see a car steer off the road, and park on the shoulder. I drove past as I had not seen any problems but I do look back and see that the fount end of the vehicle has been torn off. I turn around about 100 feet past them and come back to see if they need help. Turns out this older couple, hit a deer, had no cell phone, spoke only a little bit of English and were on their first holiday in 20 years. I felt badly for them and we called the police who called the tow truck and we waited with them until the Provincial Police arrived. The officer was not in the mood to be very helpful it seemed,... oh the tow truck company will drive you into town... I don't have room in my car....etc etc... Needless to say I wouldn't want my parents stuck at the side of the road with no assistance so I stayed and drove them into town, showed them where the car dealership was where there car would be fixed the next day, asked what kind of motel/hotel they were hoping to stay in, drove them to a small family owned motel, helped them get a room. They were so happy and kept asking how they could thank us, I said the words thank you were enough... and if my husband and I were ever in Montreal they could buy us a coffee. (They own a small coffee shop in Montreal). We exchanged addresses and said our goodbye's and Alex & I arrived home about two hours later than expected. I was sore and tired but felt good about our evening adventure.

I would like to think that more people than just myself would have been just as kind to two strangers on holidays who spoke little English in a town they didn't know. I know the reality is that very few though would have which is sad. So, I'd like to ask that if you can do someone even a small kindness, family or stranger.... please take the time to be nice to them. You never know what it could mean to them and you never know when you could be in a similar situation.

I'm sorry for not posting last night as planned however my kidney infection got the better of me and after an hour and a half at work yesterday morning I made a trip to the ER for IV antibiotics as I couldn't keep anything down. I had to go again last night at 11PM and was there until just after 1AM, not long for anyone who has had to wait in an emergency room.

Grade Five Elements Freebie

I know I should have posted this last evening however I had quite a day. Turns out the pain in my back the past few days is not back pain but rather a kidney infection. When I started feeling sick to my stomach and just could not get comfortable to sleep Wednesday night I decided I should probably go and get myself checked out by a Dr. however I went to work yesterday morning because my boss was away for the morning. I guess I looked so bad that our maintenance guy here at the office pointed out I looked like "crap" and should go home...which is what I did and slept (finally) for a couple of hours. Long story short... went to the clinic, was told I had a low grade fever and a kidney infection and I needed an ultrasound asap.

I just couldn't get comfortable last night or sit still long enough to post...this morning is not much different except that my temperature seems normal. So, I'm at the office hoping I make it through the day.

Well the retainer stayed in all night although I did wake up a few times during the night because of it. Hopefully I get use to it quickly as I was ready for a nap by noon and when I did get home I did have a short nap. Hopefully the nap does not affect my sleeping tonight.

Grade Four Element Freebie

Another very busy day at work today and my favorite...a dental appointment! I have to admit, I'm very lucky I have found a great dentist that realizes I have not always had the best dental experiences in the past. (It had been six years since I'd been to a dentist prior to finding this one a few months ago.) My appointment today was for a retainer... yup about a month ago I woke up with a chip in my teeth and I had to go get it fixed right away because it hurt. He mentioned that he noticed I ground my teeth and asked if I get headaches very often. I told him I get migraines often-he suggested that a retainer might help. So, I figured I'd give it a try, after all it was about the same price as four months worth of medication and if it works or helps-then it will be worth it. (Not to mention the fact if it prevents another dental appointment for chipped teeth-it will be worth it even more!)

I have been joking around with Sean and my co-workers that Sean gets the new me tonight. Retainer, nasal strip to prevent the snoring, acne spot medication, hair in rag curlers-wonder if I'll get a kiss goodnight. LOL. I'm not sure how I'm going to fare with it though, I tried it for about half an hour earlier this evening and I just wanted to gag. Perhaps I need to stop thinking about it in my mouth and concentrate on something else.

I hope everyone enjoys tonight's elements. I'm anxious to see some layouts that have been created with this series. How was everyone's Monday? I had a busy one at work-typical for a Monday. My big event today however was my new pen I had ordered. A Noodler's Flex pen-I know a nerdy thing to get excited about but I'd been waiting for them to come out for about six months now and I was lucky to get mine as they sold out in a few hours. So, yes I played with my new fountain pen at work today and some ink I happened to have on hand. My daughter laugh's at me because I practice my handwriting.... I think it is a dying art. My contribution to encouraging my kids and husband to write better is buying them fountain pen's and ink in whatever colours they like.

Just a quick note tonight as it is getting late and I'm tired. Was out with the kids and their friends paintballing as a belated Birthday Gift for TC. There was another Birthday going on up there, this time the guy was 41 and he had wanted 41 people against him, well there ended up being about 29 and they just laid into him with pinball's.... he finally gave up as he could no longer see he had been hit in the visor so many times. (If he hit you though, you were out.) Anyway, I saw him without his shirt on afterwards and there were plenty of bruises on him. I lucked out with just one bruise on my arm as the kids managed two head shots to the visor. It was fun, but not how I'd like to spend all my weekends. We did luck out though Robert my son was here and got a few rounds in with us before he had to head back. Made for a great family day... too bad the girls were not able to join in.

I'm not so sore today or as tired after working out the past few days. Today's workout was good, I even had my son working out with me today at lunch hour, we had a few moments of laughter. So my day started out with a BANG literally. It is Alexandra's sweet 16th today and I was pulling out of the driveway to take her to get a new health card and try to get her driver's license and I banged into our new neighbor. Guess we both pulled out at the same time and well..... BANG. Just a dent in the trunk, still can close it and open it no problem, paint wasn't even chipped on it although there is a scratch on the bumper. I hit her mirror, hence the dent. So regardless our little fender bender, Alex did get her new health card and passed the written portion of her driver's test. I was proud and am even prouder to say that she is paying for her own Drivers Ed ($850.00) and paid for her drivers test too. ($125.00)

My body is sore tonight. I have not exercised as much this past fall/winter/spring as I have stuck pretty much close to home and walking the dog really doesn't count as normally I'm swimming, climbing and occasionally at the gym so I started an exercise program using weights to tone and sculpt my body and today is my third day and I'm sore. Don't want to say that too loudly but tonight my body feels old and very sore.

It was a fairly nice day here and Sean and I took the dog for a nice walk this morning. I'm trying to tone up a bit I've been fairly lazy this winter and didn't do a whole lot of physical activities compared to past years. Another Solid Paper Freebie

I can't believe that I was able to sleep in this morning until almost noon. Then to my surprise my son Robert walked in. I knew he was in town visiting friends but I was not really expecting him to stop by....you know how kids can be, visiting their friends when they visit their home town spend the whole time visiting and forget about the parents. I had not seen him since Christmas so it was really nice to have a short visit before he headed out to spend time with his friends. Guess he and his brother caught up at the local bar last night and had a good evening. Alex spend the day working, came home exhausted. She started her shift at 7am and was on her feet all day so I understand. (She works at Twiggs, its a high end coffee shop that serves baked goods and soup/sandwiches and roasts their own coffee beans.... best coffee I've ever had.)

Well, this is the second set of solid paper freebies. I hope to have the last couple of papers made by tomorrow afternoon and the final few previews created. I had not noticed until today but all the preview's I did yesterday for the papers were wrong. I left the word Preschool on them all... all the grade papers, solid papers, patterned papers, bonus papers and grad papers .... had to laugh at myself though.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that inquired as to where I had disappeared to and worried about me. I am alive and well thanks to my friends and family. I know I share a lot of my life on here with you and I was not really going to share this however in thinking about it I thought yes, it may help not only myself but perhaps someone else out there.

Last Christmas while I was still working on my Mischief and Princess sets, just before Sean came home from overseas I was sexually assaulted and was on serious doses of Anti-Viral medications since we were not sure what diseases my assailants had. I pretty much ignored what happened to me to get through the following months, did not deal with it at all. My life changed dramatically, I no longer went anywhere alone, overly moody and those I would say were the easiest changes my family had to deal with. Now, I am taking an anxiety medication, Sean is teaching me some self defense, I'm finally dealing with what happened to me and life is back on track and I'm ready to get back to scrapbooking.

Since I left half way though my School Adventure Series to deal with all this, I am going to offer some sort of special deal during the month of June for anyone who missed previous freebies for this kit. School Frames Freebie's Set 1

I'm sorry I was unable to post the past couple of nights, I've been busy and then too exhausted. My last post was Wednesday shortly after midnight and I was up at 5AM to drive Sean to work that day. Came home had Sean move the TV up from the rec-room that is now TC's room. We had to move all the furniture in the bedroom and our IKEA shelf unit and ALL the photo's and souvenirs we have collected from various locations. Each shelf is a separate location, place one of us has been or theme. So, we have an Afghanistan shelf, a Russia Shelf, a Holland Shelf, a Caribbean Shelf, a Doll Shelf, a Germany Shelf, Canadian Shelf, A Military Theme self, MacKay family photo's shelf, Kerr Family Photo Shelf and the top of the shelf unit is all the 8x10's of the kids and family. So... I dusted, and dusted and dusted until midnight while re-arranging my living room Wednesday night.

I was up again at 5AM to drive Sean to work Thursday, came home, finished cleaning up the living room, emptied the dishwasher, set the table for dinner and took out the items we would need to make dinner. Then I got Alex up so that I could have her at the Surgeons for 8AM for a consultation regarding her stomach issues. We have decided to wait till her next attack of pain and they will preform a Laparoscopic surgery. We could have scheduled something right away but he figured if we wait till she has pain, they are more likely to discover what is causing her the pain. Then I took Alex to school, went to work, had lunch with my girlfriend Sarah. At 4:30, went to the mall to have photo's made from Roberts Graduation so that I could give copies to his former school principles. Drove over to a woman's house where we had purchased a used upright freezer and paid her for it. Then drove up to the base to get Sean. Came home, started dinner while Sean and Alora headed off for TC's football game. Ate without the family so that I could rush off for 8PM for another Dr appointment for Alexandra up at the base. Thank goodness we now have a family Dr. thanks to the Military clinic opening up to Military family members a few nights a week. By the time I got home at 9PM, I was ready to crash- so that's exactly what Sean and I did.

Tonight was a little less hectic but still busy enough. I slept in this morning as Sean took the motorbike to work. My day was busy but productive. I went to the bank, then the hospital to visit a distant family member-and feed him his dinner as he is unable to eat on his own and swallowing is tough for him, so it was slow going. He didn't eat much and I stayed to read him a bit of the newspaper before heading home at 7. Came home, went to pick up the upright freezer we bought and then watched a movie "How to Train Your Dragon" with Sean, Marc and Marc's girlfriend. It was a good movie-I highly recommend it.So that has been the last few days, I've been busy to say the least and I will likely be just as busy tomorrow. I want to empty our deep freezer and put things into our upright. I'm so tired of loosing stuff in the bottomless pit of a freezer we have. I'd also like to arrange TC's room finally in the basement so that he doesn't have my hope chest or the rec-room coffee table in his sleeping area. We will properly divide the room up for him later so he has more privacy.

I know it's not the papers I promised you but I needed to get my book from my bedroom with my words for the overlays I had picked out for the Grade 4 Papers and Sean was asleep already so I didn't want to wake him up. Photo Matte Freebies

I had a great Thanksgiving this past weekend with my family at the cottage again this year. We had a full table with my Mom and Dad, my brother Marcel and girlfriend Karenina, other brother Gaetan and his wife Catherine and son Sebastian. Also in attendance were my Aunt Lois, Uncle Bruce, Cousin Jennifer her husband Jody and three boys, Cousin Rhonda and her husband John and two kids, another Cousin Judy with husband Brian their daughter Lisa and son, and Bet another cousin of my Dad's and of course Sean and I and two of our six kids.....so it was a big family gathering. Not to mention my parents dog, my brother's dog an English Bulldog Lola, and Gaetan's dog-another Pit Bull named Max.

Here is a picture of the kids from that gathering outside after stuffing themselves full of turkey and pie.

Oh it was a long day and lots of running around with the kids etc. First was work, then TC had a football game against Alexandra's school. So, after the bank, the trip to drop off cheques to one of the business's my boss's own I came home, picked up the dog, drove to the football game, watched the ending. Once we got home I was out the door again with the kitten and Alex to her boyfriends football game. We were hoping to run into his Mom as they may adopt the kitten. Half way through the game Sean called and I rushed back to the other end of town to have coffee with him, only to rush back to the football game to pick up the girls. So that was my day and evening at work.

Another busy, busy day here. Our family has been adjusting to all the changes-Alora had her first day of School. Apparently it was good and she met a few girls that may become friends. Alora's kitten is settling in and enjoying having the dog and ferret as playmates. Half the household is allergic to cats but they don't want to get rid of it.... guess that's what happens when your so cute!

Grade Three Paper Freebie & News

So much for life getting back to normal and following any type of routine, we have been kept overly busy with two of our girls. Tanya moved out of her boyfriends place and on moving day there were problems with her ex stealing her dog while she was at school and now she has to take him to court since they lived together the dog is considered communal property even though they only lived together since mid June of this year.

Our other drama was Alora my step daughter. She ended up moving in with us on the weekend unexpectedly (but we are very happy about it) with her very sweet 6 week old kitten. My only problem with all that is that Sean, Marc and Alex are allergic to cats however because the kitten is so cute, no one wants to get rid of it despite their allergies. The dog and especially the ferret love having the kitten around. I have never seen Bing the ferret so happy and playful.

Well the diving on Sunday was good. I did not see a Sturgeon although one of the other divers saw one that was about 5 feet long and I did see some nice big bass and a number of small fish. Sean and I found a few fishing lures, saw some old Railway Ties and old bottles. It was a nice day to be out on the lake with the club.

It was a nice day here after having had a few days of rain. Work has been hectic this week and I'm looking forward to the weekend. Sean picked me up from work tonight and we went to "Klassy K9" Boutique and I bought the dog a jacket. I'll have to post a picture to show you, it's a Montreal Canadian's Jacket. I'm not a big hockey fan but growing up they were my Mom's favorite team and I remember her cheering Guy Lafleur when he played. I met him a couple years back and got his autograph for my Mom. I figured she will be happy to see me carry on the tradition of cheering for them in a household of fans for the OTHER teams!

Grade One Elment Freebie

Well I wanted to have this posted yesterday along with news ... however I decided to surprise Sean by cleaning the bathroom counter of all my cosmetic clutter and clean under the sink while I was at it. Turned out great, got rid of all those items you get in Gift Baskets of toiletries you get at Christmas and Birthdays from friends and relatives you don't know well that you wouldn't buy for yourself. Some of it had been there for five or six years, something leaked in the bottom of the cupboard but I cleaned it up. I bough a basket at the dollar store, put all my daily use cleansers, deodorant and make-up in it and put it on the back of the toilet. It was a quick job that made a difference to the cluttered look that the bathroom was beginning to get. I was home alone so I called Sean at work and mentioned to him not to panic that I was okay but having an allergic reaction and he should come home (since his shift was over anyway and he was just chatting with the guys.) Took me all night to recover.

Grade One Paper Freebie

So how did the first week of school go for everyone? I hear that some schools started in August, here in Ontario school started on Tuesday the 7th. Second day of school though Alex was sick again and missed a day. So we are off to a good start for her to miss again this year. She has lots of Dr. appointments coming up in trying to solve her stomach problems and then wil be missing time for braces. It will all add up before too long -hopefully she won't miss too too much before they figure out what is wrong.

As for me, I'd been fighting the same migraine for over a week and it finally gave way on Thursday afternoon. I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy they are that bad. Other than that, things are good. Kids are good and so is the dog-we bought her a T-shirt today that says "Too Cute" and of course she is way too cute and is a spoiled suck.

Summer and Blog Update & News

Hello everyone, I'm terribly sorry that I have neglected this blog and my customers this summer. I started this wonderful "School Adventure Kit" hoping to have it completed before September hit however with six kids (not all who live at home and have various summer holidays) and family it has been hectic. I would like everyone to know that I will be updating the store items in the near future and will post on here of any major items (like the N-Z collection of Princess & Mischief). I WILL continue the School Adventure Kit beginning of September, and be creating a SPECIAL Coupon for the month of September as my apology for having been away and neglecting you.

I am also going to issue my first PU Grab Bag Mid September-more details to follow.

Other News.... I have joined a new store Ivy Scraps and am hosting a monthly challenge in the forum with a posting freebie. Here is a preview of that posting bonus. It is of a new kit that I will be releasing in September. (I have worked on it one piece at a time this summer.)

I will be updating my site this weekend to reflect the new store with a blinkie on the left and a link to the forum challenge as well.

Other news... I had a great visit with my son Robert who was home from the military for a week and a half. His girlfriend took the bus to our house...29 hours one way to spend a week with him... I'd say that was love (even if its young love). Marc my 18 year old is currently unemployed. They were doing renovations to the building the Greek Sub shop was in and during this process the workers found a crack in the side wall... called city inspectors .... long story short ..... by 5PM that evening they were told all the businesses had to be out of there by midnight and that the building was condemned. So its been an extended holiday for him until School starts and he finds another job. The dog is making herself at home, and I'm in love with her...Sean and I both. (and here he was unsure about a dog with us so busy.) Alex is busy again with Basketball, TC has made it to his school's football team so I would imagine I will be doing kits this fall with a sports theme at some point. Sean will be participating in a motorcycle rally for a few days.... the Military Police are having their 2nd Annual Bike Rally, going from British Columbia to Newfoundland. Money raised will go to thier charity which is the Children's Blind Fund and Wounded Warriors. I'll post more on this subject closer to his departure date from here in North Bay where he is going to be joining in from. I've been spending the little bit of R&R time I've had reading on my new iPad. I hope to create a few layouts to put on there this winter time permitting. Speaking of Layouts, I have created some layouts using the Princess Items and they can be viewed in the gallery at Ivy Scraps.

Kindergarten Element Freebies

Well, I've made a decision regarding these kits and since I am unable to post nightly and am not sure which nights I will be able to post, I'm going to let all my followers know that I have decided to only post three times a week. With summer holidays, one of the kids sick, Robert my son home on leave for two weeks starting this weekend (he injured his back so they are giving him some R&R and physiotherapy till they decide what to do with him) and a new dog I don't want to disapoint anyone or myself by not posting nightly. This way if I miss a night, I won't feel too bady and if you have signed up as a follower you can be notified of any updates I post and not miss anything.

The new dog is fitting in just fine here. I think I forgot to mention that we "Inherated" a dog. One of the guys Sean works with went to an embassy overseas and Ontario law says if a Pit Bull leaves the province for more than 3 months they cannot come back and since they are gone for 2 to 4 years, that's not going to work for them. Bullet, is 6 years old, a real sweetheart even if she is afraid of chipmunks and could really care less about the feret in the house. She is fitting in just fine here.....

as you can tell by the picture. Kids and I adore her, she keeps me company while Sean works nights. She makes her rounds at night, going from one child to the other making sure we are all okay. She hates her muzzle (that's the law here) but doesn't complain too much about wearing it. (She rubs her face against your leg once in awhile to let you know it's uncomfortable) but other than that, her adjustment to being here is going well. I think the fact we dog sat her a few times really helped her fit in with us.

More great news, my daughter Tanya, I got her high school diploma in the mail today and her report card, she graduated high school with a 88% average. Lowest mark an 80, highest a 95%. I called her in Sudbury and congratulated her and told her I was going to frame her diploma... she laughed at me, said I didn't have to... but I told her YES Mom's have to do those things.

Number and Punctuation Freebie

You must have thought I'd fallen off the face of the earth again. Truth is I ended up having an impromptu and surprise holiday. Last week on Tuesday was my 41st Birthday and Sean and I ended up taking the motorcycle out to Sudbury just for a drive... my choice and didn't get home until after 1AM. Then we slept in the next morning, almost missed a Dr appointment for Alexandra but we made it. She is going to go see another specialist, but not until the end of September... I hate waiting! Then on Wednesday, Marc and Alexandra headed down to see my ex and other family... so it was just Sean and I. We took advantage of the quiet house and banned Internet and a few other things and just enjoyed the quiet time alone together. We got together with other couples on Saturday and Sunday and did some diving at a local quarry and then we were both back to work today. Back to the normal grind so here I am and I'm sorry there was no warning of taking holidays... I didn't know it myself until I took them. (Good thing my boss let me just take a few days off like that with no notice!)

Kindergarten Freebie Paper Pack

You would have laughed all your butt's off last night had you seen me. I had a terrible back ache and a knot in my back you could see so Sean massaged my back and I took a muscle relaxant and I ended up quite the space cadet. I never thought something as simple as a muscle relaxant would make me feel that way. I kept repeating myself and Sean was worried I was going to fall off the motor bike at one point. We made it home okay though and I went straight to bed and fell asleep quickly and soundly. Woke up with my back just fine this morning like nothing had been wrong.

Lower Case Alphabet Freebie

Wow, what a long day today and was I ever tired. I decided when I got home last night to "tidy" up the basement/rec room and ended up down there until 2AM. It ended up being a MAJOR overhaul/cleaning of 85% of the basement. (Laundry room, Bathroom and Marc's Bedroom were the only area's not affected). Kids were not that thrilled that I banned them from it while I was cleaning and banned them from it today--because I did not spend 8 hours cleaning up a section of the house I've used less than 10 times since January for them to just mess it up again. I figure if they loose the privilege of a rec room/tv room/hang out area for a bit, they may just appreciate it even more in a few days when they regain the privilege. Hence, I did not get around to posting last night and why I was so existed last night.

Jr. Kindergarten Paper Freebie

Well, Happy 4th of July and Happy Birthday to my Mom! I headed out to the cottage today with TC and Alexandra and the camera... hoping to get a few good pictures of the birds nest again but when I got there Dad told me that the baby birds had flown away the next day. Oh well, I did manage to get a picture of my Mom putting the Birthday Present we got her on the dog. Yes, I bought my Mom's dog a life-jacket as he always goes to the lake with my Dad and he is so active and has fallen out of the boat a couple of times already bouncing around the boat, I thought this would be a very practical gift for my Mom. (As Sport is just like a kid to her) I'm not sure that Sport thought it was that great though.
Of course Alexandra being the typical teenager hates having her picture taken by me when she says she looks like *!@#$. Every time I aimed the camera her way she would hide her face reminding me she is wearing no make-up, her hair is not properly brushed and is wearing basketball clothes. (Nothing new as she lives for basketball anyway) My Mom thought it would be funny to wrestle her to the ground and force her to show her face for a couple of pictures. It was very funny watching my Mom, all 5 feet 1 inch of her wrestling Alexandra down to the ground. Finally she let me take a few pictures of the two of them together, that is my Dad in the background.

My third picture from today was taken by Alexandra. I went through some of the pictures she took today (she is in the photography club at school) and I thought this was a really nice picture that she took. Perhaps I may talk her into taking a few more pictures and I could turn them into papers for Scrapbooking.

Quick Update

Hi Everyone,

I must apologize for not having posted anything sooner, things have been busy here and I have a daughter who is sick and the Dr's can't figure out why. We have an appointment mid July with a specialist to discuss exploratory surgery so hopefully he will figure out what is going on. Since January she has been having pain in her stomach in the exact location of her appendix however blood work, CAT Scan, MRI, ultrasound, etc, etc all show it is not her appendix. It is frustrating as she has all the symptoms of appendicitis... low grade fever, pain, nausea etc. and from February 1, to the beginning of June she probably missed at least a minimum of 20 days of school. She is not in pain all the time, some weeks she is fine, other weeks she is in pain every two or three days. On Monday she was lying in the driveway on the pavement waiting for me to get out to the car to take her to the hospital. The Dr once again wanted to just give her pain med and send her home but I put my foot down and refused to leave as that is all they have been doing the last few times we were there. I indicated that sending her home was just passing the buck to the next Dr and that I wanted to see the specialist we saw back in April who had some suggestions on where to go next if her tests all came back negative. (So after getting the referral, I drove straight to his office and spoke to his secretary who informed me that there was a note on my daughters file at the hospital that he was to be called if she came in again....which they never did.) So she has an appointment mid July with this specialist when he gets back on holidays and hopefully we will get some direction or a solution.

Anyway, I hope to be getting back to posting this coming weekend and move forward on my School Adventure Kit. I've missed designing and everyone here.

TC and Alora's School Adventure

Everyone must have thought I'd fallen off the face of the earth and forgot about posting anything new however that is NOT the case. I had to take care of some family stuff and look after myself a little bit before coming back to posting on a regular basis and I have to tell you all that I absolutely missed everyone so very very much! Thank you for the e-mails wonderin where I was, if I was okay and telling me how much you missed my postings.

So let me tell you about my new kits that I'll be posting over the next little while. I mentioned that I would be doing a school theme and that is what I will be posting. The first set I'm doing will be Jr. Kindergarten to Grade 6 and the colour theme for those kits will be the colours that you find in the 16 pack of Crayola Wax Crayons. I will post the colour swatches for next weekend in case someone would like to create an Add-On or anything. Now some people call Jr. Kindergarten, PreSchool so don't worry, that is where I'm starting off tonight with the papers.

Now I'm calling this TC and Alora's School Adventure since TC is my step son who lives with us and Alora is his sister that lives with her mom. I'd like to introduce you to TC as he will be part of one of the Packs in the upcoming weeks. Which one has not been decided upon yet.

Something else you will find that is new here is how you download your files. I have signed up with Online Storage Solutions (thank you Deb at the Scrappin Cop) that allows me to share files directy, so whoo hoo, no more 4shared and having to wait to download.

Mischief Bag of Words Freebie

Well, it has been another day and it was quite a day at that. Weather the past few weeks has been warm, we have had an early Spring-that was until today! Weather has been as high as 18 degree's some days so its been absolutely lovely. Today I got up and drove Sean to work at 5:30 AM it was about 7 degree's at that time. By 7 AM however we were having a snow storm! I couldn't even see 50 feet in front of me! We managed to get about 10 cm all before 11 am and I had some running around to do with the car... yes the one that had the summer tires put back on already. LOL.

Princess Bag of Words Freebie

Just a quick post as it is already midnight and its been a busy evening here. Our local dive club was doing its yearly VIP inspections for everyone's tanks and all the Club's tanks as well and Sean and I helped out for about two hours this evening doing inspections etc. Marc is doing a 30 fasting for World Vision, he was raising money for that this week, Alex has a friend sleeping over, and to say it was a busy night would be putting it mildly.

Z Element Freebie

Okay, so I promise this is my last picture from my son Robert's Graduation last week until I get his official grad pics in four to six weeks. We are missing my oldest daughter Tanya who is 22 and my stepdaughter Alora who is 16 who lives with her mom but Robert was glad the rest of us made it. Mischief Z Paper Freebie

Okay so I am very proud of my son Robert and I'm going to share a couple more pictures from his graduation with you. I have one more to share tomorrow of us as a family. This is Alexandra (14) and Robert (19). He looks tall-he is at 6'2" but if you look at the picture below of him with his brothers you will notice that Sean is the short one of the bunch now.

These are my boys, from left to right there is Marc (18), Robert (19), TC (14) and Sean who apparently is "HOT" according to one of Robert's female cadet friend at basic training.

Finally back up and running and a Z Letter Freebie

I'm sure everyone must have been wondering what in the world happened. It has been a long week and a few days. Last weekend was Alexandra's basketball tournament in Hamilton in which they placed third. It was a great weekend and I was able to see my new nephew Sebastien. We got home very late on Sunday and then Monday and Tuesday was busy at work and at home. Our router had to be replaced at home so that did not get done right away as we had to order it from our Service provider Bell Canada. Wednesday we left for St-Jean-sur-Richelieu for Robert's Graduation and we arrived home late/early Friday morning. It was wonderful to see Robert so grown up and I was very proud that he was Flag Party Commander. So with my Internet back up and running I'm back and I missed EVERYONE so very very much.

I've ordered pictures of Robert of his graduation but Marc was able to take a few pictures during the parade. I thought this was a pretty good one of him. He is the one in the center between the flags. When I get his grad pictures I will definitely share, as it is now, I will share over the next few days some of the pictures we did get.

He is so grown up and I'm very proud of him. Not the little boy who use to sit in his room with his Lego blocks for hours on end.

Hi Everyone, just wanted to let you know my internet at home is down and since I spent the evening in the hospital with one of the kids (nothing major but spent all evening there) I did not get time to figure out what was wrong with it or upload this weekend's letters, papers and elements. Princess Numbers Part One Freebie

Princess Z Paper Freebie and Happy Birthday Tanya

Today is my oldest daughter, Tanya's 22nd birthday. We ordered Chinese Food for dinner and she had asked for chocolate cake-so we picked one up for her. It seems like just yesterday that she was born....all 4lbs 12 oz of her. Speaking of which my brother Gaetan and his wife Catherine had their baby yesterday... a little boy which they named Sebastian. Alexandra has a basketball tournament in Hamilton this weekend. On the drive home Sunday I hope we get the chance to stop in and say hi and take a few pictures which I WILL have to share. (They live three hours away and Hamilton is about another two hours past their place.)

Yes Michelle, Sudbury is where we take Alexandra to basketball practice we are just south east of Sudbury by about an hour in a town called North Bay. It is the major intersection through Ontario as you have the north and south traffic from Toronto to Timmins (Hwy 11) run through town and also the East/West (Hwy 17) going from Ottawa to Sudbury then on to the Ontario/Manitoba border.

Princess Letter Z Freebie

It was a change in weather again today we went from snow on the weekend to a beautiful sunny day with a high of about 10 degree's. I know that's not really warm but after a winter of snow and the occasional day with temperatures of -30, 9 degree's is warm.

Mischief Letter Y

I spent another night coughing and keeping poor Sean awake last night. He came home at midnight and I spent most of the night coughing so we didn't get alot of sleep. I went to work this morning but ended up coming home. Somewhere between the cough syrup and not alot of sleep again-my mind was just not functioning. I did manage to get a bit of sleep this afternoon-enough to get up tonight and find time to post tonight.

Princess Element Y Freebie

I'm happy that I'm getting some suggestions for my next school themed kit. Does anyone have any suggestions for letters? I thought Varsity Type Letters for the High School Years but for the grade school years I'm still not sure-so I'm open to suggestions. Keep the e-mails and comments coming for the primary kits. I'm looking for words that describe each school year (ie Grade One- Recess, Lunch box, Learning to Read etc.) so please send me your idea's-this kit will be based on your idea's as well as mine so if you want to see something in particular, you better suggest it.

Princess Y Paper Freebie

I thought I'd give you an update as to my idea's for my upcoming kit after the Princess and Mischief Kits. There were many idea's sent to me and I wanted to keep on a kids theme at least until the end of the school year so I'm going to do a School Theme. My basic colours are from the Crayola Box of 16 Colours and I'm thinking of doing papers for each grade level, some photo mattes and journal blocks for filling in school memories. If you want certain events highlighted in this kit, please let me know. My kids are all in High School so you may have to remind me of some of the highlights for each grade level along the way. Things like Field Trips, Car Wash Fundraiser's, school trips to the zoo etc. (suggest quotes etc too) I'm going to start with the primary grades and move on to high school so send me your suggestions-I'm looking forward to working with your idea's.

Tanya my daughter gave me a decongestant last night-wow it cleared my sinus's and congestion right up only problem was that I didn't sleep a wink. So tonight, I'm exhausted-beyond exhausted but I did get some cough medication that should work tonight and help me sleep. Princess Letter Y Freebie

I'd like to thank Michelle for worrying about me. I know I've been away all weekend and normally I'll pop in to tell you what is going on but I spent my lovely Easter Weekend in bed and it sounds to me like I'm more barking like a dog than coughing but I did manage to get into work today.

First as promised here are the pictures I have of my kids from their formal.

The young man on the far right is my son Marc, I can't believe he is 18 already.

The young lady on the left is my daughter Alexandra, SHE is ONLY 14... as are her friends can you believe that? That cute puppy is Jersey, she is a year old and weighs about as much as I do.

Now on to my letters-I hope you enjoy them. I will be back tomorrow with the Y Papers and an update as to what I'm considering for my next project. I'm also going to extend the sale I have been having since I was away on the weekend and was unable to upload some items to the store as well. I'll extend it until April 13th as that is my oldest daughters 22nd Birthday and I should be able to get everything up and to the store and it should also mark the end of the Princess and Mischief Alphabet sets.

Mischief X Element Set Freebie

I can't believe how nice it is here today. This time of year we are still normally fighting off the last of the snow however today was a beautiful 18 degree's. It was a great day all around, my boss Luc took Dan and I out for lunch as we were celebrating our having survived two months without Lise at the office. She is back on Monday after having spent the past couple months in Florida on holiday. Then he let me go home a bit early as Marc my son showed up at work after school to pick me up.

So tonight is Marc's formal at his school. I couldn't believe it when he was upstairs with his friend fixing his hair and their dates were downstairs waiting for them. I did get a few pictures and I will post them tomorrow. I'll even post a couple of pics of Alex and her girlfriends when they went to their formal a month ago. I look at the kids and it is hard to believe how grown up they are. On that note, Sean and I finally decided on a graduation gift for Robert (I can tell you all about it because he does not have Internet and can't read my blog) We have decided to buy him a pair of Oakley Ballistic Sunglasses. It was a tough decision-but it is something practical and I'm sure he will use them often especially at work.

My last element set from the Princess Collection seemed very popular. Tonight's installment includes the same type of items. The four tape words you see, baby blocks in the letters "A" "B" and "Y" in oak and white in eight of the Mischief Colours along with the other elements shown in the preview. Princess X Paper Freebie

Almost near the end-so hard to believe. I have a million idea's running through my mind for my next kit. It won't be as long as the Princess or Mischief set but hopefully just as much fun. I think I might be coming down with a bit of a cold as I have a cough and sore throat. I had Sean rub some Vicks on my throat and chest and I put a turtle-neck shirt on. Its not a cure but makes me feel better so in it's own way its working. The wonderful power of suggestion-since I refuse to be sick. (Lets see how that works out for me in the morning!)

Princess Letter X Freebie

It was a nice Saturday - Sean and I went for lunch with a girlfriend of mine and her husband. It was nice to go out as a couple with another couple. I think that is something we should do more often-even if it is just for a walk along the waterfront or lunch. This afternoon I got upset for not being able to find anything in the pit we call the storage room-Sean came upstairs and held me while we watched a show on my laptop. I know it was silly to get upset because I couldn't find my needlepoint bag with my tape measure-but I did tell Sean I was PMS'ing. Seriously though, it was nice and he went and got my hair brush out of the bathroom and my spray in conditioner and brushed my hair for a bit-totally melted my heart and relaxed me.

My knitting is coming along, I turned the heel earlier this evening and so I'm at the easy part now -well easier since it is just straight knit from now on till I get to the decrease part for the toe. I did spend a fair bit of time knitting the past couple days-the next few won't be spend on knitting as much-but it was very nice to get back into it. Can you imagine what it was like when the only socks you had were ones someone knit for you? I think I would be barefoot most of the summer and save my socks for winter if that was the case. I couldn't knit that fast or that much for six kids and a husband. lol.

So I'm liking the idea of a school theme for my next kit. If anyone has colour suggestions-please send me your suggestions. I can't believe that there are only three letters left. Thank you to everyone that has stuck it out with me these past six months-It has been wonderful, challenging and fun, I hope you have enjoyed it as well. The kids are just getting ready to head out to a school dance at TC's school. Should be interesting as his sister Alexandra is going as well with one of her friends. I'm sure they are going to have fun.

Mischief W Paper Freebie

I got so excited today at work, my new knitting needle came in the mail. In the fall the dog ate my 12" Auddi Turbo circular knitting needle and the socks that I was in the process of making. The needles are expensive (about $18.00-$22.00 each and you need two of them) so I kept looking around the Internet as no local stores carry them for the best price for the needle and shipping. So, I was happy when I found a local yarn shop in southern Ontario that carried them and in the size I needed. Of course I came home and had to start a pair of socks. I know, my daughter is right I have no life! lol. It will be perfect for the drive to St. Jean-sur-Richileau for Robert's Graduation in April-perhaps I'll get a new pair of socks done for myself instead of the kids for a change.

Thank you to everyone for their suggestions as to what to do once the Princess and Mischief Kits are done. Seasons and RV'ing & Retirement have been suggested. Please keep the suggestions coming. Mischief Letter W Freebie

It was a busy day at the office although I did find some down time at the end of the day. I came home tonight and did up the preview's for the next two evenings. I'll upload each night when I know I've looked over the sets and made sure I haven't forgotten anything. lol

I'm glad that everyone seems to be enjoying the bears from yesterday's post. They are adorable-I agree. I have a Mischief set for you with the W Element Sets. I hope you enjoy tonight's letters, I will be back tomorrow with W papers.

Princess W Element Set & I thought I was being so smart!

I had a good chuckle when I went to bed last night and finally turned out the light. I thought I was being so smart planning ahead, getting some of the alphabet, paper and element sets ready. I even zipped up tonight's posting after finishing up the preview and uploaded it to 4 shared and the store. No sooner has my head hit the pillow do I realize I forgot to make the decorative beads so I will have to do the preview again and re-upload the file. Not a big deal-but just seemed funny when I thought I'd been so smart.

Michelle in NM, I'd love to send you an HGTV crew to your place, better yet I wish my brother would hook me up with Holmes on Homes as they have worked together in the past but no such luck for me either as apparently I live too far away from him. My younger brother Marcel is a contractor in Toronto/Missisauga area, check out his page here... under Featured Projects, there are historical renovation pictures-that is his house. It use to be an old church that was renovated. The kids love going there as the bell is still in the steple. The neighbours all know when he has company as everyone wants to ring the bell. lol.

Tonight's freebie may not be the most creative I've ever put together, but Mariana Barros offered these bears as a freebie with a $10.00 purchase at ScrappinMix awhile back and I thought they would suit kids pages just perfectly. I've included beads, some frame wrappers that look like Birthday Present Curly Bows. I hope you enjoy them

Princess Letter W Freebie

I'd like to thank everyone that has e-mailed me with idea's on what to do next after I'm done the Princess and Mischief Kits. I have a few idea's now. Thank you, but please feel free to keep sending me more. Sorry I did not post last night as planned. The sale I have going is keeping me busy creating personalized papers and I also took the opportunity to spend a few hours with Sean and the kids as a family since he had been away the past two weeks and had to work yesterday and today. (And will be going away again in April.)

Mischief V Elements & New Blinkie's

Okay, my daughters think I have no life and that I got overly excited last night when Eirene e-mailed me my second blinkie but in my defence I think she did an amazing job and I'm so very very impressed with the work she put into them. I sent her a few items from each kit and this is what she came up with.... what do you think?
