New Kits on Sale, a Freebie and What is next

The end of the month and beginning of the month is always really busy for me at work since I am responsible for collecting rents, mortgage payments and making sure all bills are paid and such. Last week was a short week for us as Monday was a holiday here and the rest of the week was EXTREMELY busy. Lucky me had a migraine on Sunday and Monday and I was able to head back to work today but I will be off again Thursday and Friday as my son Robert will be finishing up his Infantry Training and then heading off to Manitoba after that.

So I have a new kit up in the store and all portions are available individually or as a whole and will be on sale for 20% off until Sunday. The kit is called Family Camping and the colours I chose were from the MEC catalog (Mountain Equipment Co-op) I have to say it is one of Sean's favorite stores and am secretly thankful that we don't have one here in North Bay as I'd never see him. I've named the characters in the kit after people in our family and I created four versions of each person in various skin tone's and hair colours.

In this elements preview from Left to Right the characters are Sean (funny thing is he does wear a hat like that out by the evening campfire), Tanya (my oldest daughter), Marc (the middle son) and Nathalie (me). Not all elements are shown in this preview but it does give you a good idea of what is in the kit. You will also find the paper flowers, frames (like in the frame cluster kit) and ribbons and such as part of this element pack. On sale until Sunday August 14th at 20% off here.

The paper pack consists of 26 papers in all. No not all are shown in the preview but consist of an equal mix of solid and patterned papers. Also on sale here for 20% off until Sunday August 14th.

The sets include all upper and lower case letters, numbers and a few symbols in each of the five colours shown. The string with leaves is not included but can be found in the element pack.

Grade One Elment Freebie

Well I wanted to have this posted yesterday along with news ... however I decided to surprise Sean by cleaning the bathroom counter of all my cosmetic clutter and clean under the sink while I was at it. Turned out great, got rid of all those items you get in Gift Baskets of toiletries you get at Christmas and Birthdays from friends and relatives you don't know well that you wouldn't buy for yourself. Some of it had been there for five or six years, something leaked in the bottom of the cupboard but I cleaned it up. I bough a basket at the dollar store, put all my daily use cleansers, deodorant and make-up in it and put it on the back of the toilet. It was a quick job that made a difference to the cluttered look that the bathroom was beginning to get. Soooooo... as I'm finishing I realize I don't feel so great....I immediately took my meds, as I'm taking my clothes off and getting ready to wash up since I have a severe allergy to Aloe Vera... took my med immediately. I was home alone so I called Sean at work and mentioned to him not to panic that I was okay but having an allergic reaction and he should come home (since his shift was over anyway and he was just chatting with the guys.) Took me all night to recover.

Princess Bag of Words Freebie

Just a quick post as it is already midnight and its been a busy evening here. Our local dive club was doing its yearly VIP inspections for everyone's tanks and all the Club's tanks as well and Sean and I helped out for about two hours this evening doing inspections etc. Marc is doing a 30 fasting for World Vision, he was raising money for that this week, Alex has a friend sleeping over, and to say it was a busy night would be putting it mildly.

Mischief W Element Set Freebie

I can't believe that there are only three letters left. Thank you to everyone that has stuck it out with me these past six months-It has been wonderful, challenging and fun, I hope you have enjoyed it as well. The kids are just getting ready to head out to a school dance at TC's school. Should be interesting as his sister Alexandra is going as well with one of her friends. I'm sure they are going to have fun.

Mischief Christmas Freebie

Sorry I was not able to post yesterday. I was at the hospital first thing in the morning for blood work and my white blood cell count was back to its lowest again. It was depressing thinking that I still have to be so careful when I'm finally near the end of my medication. I have to be careful that I don't catch a cold of a flu for the next little while with my white blood cell count so low.

Princess Christmas Freebie

Well, this was a tough decision to make... I had purchased scripts before I got sick and a few afterwards hoping to make an add on to sell in the stores for the month of December but we all know that, that didn't happen. I did pick and choose and put together a few pages that are flat images of some of the elements from my Add On Kit, that I will post to the store perhaps Boxing Day-and of course on Sale.

Mischief Element E Freebie

Well, after getting up late this morning and feeling like I had been hit by a bus I decided to stay home from work. I ended up sleeping for most of the day until around 3PM. I think that's when I started to feel a bit better. I've eaten a little bit, and yes I finally feel alive although my throat is still sore but no more fever.

Thank you to everyone who wished me well in getting better, I think it worked! Alexandra went to school today...whoo hoo. Received an e-mail from my son Robert though he is in St. Jean Quebec doing his basic training. He broke a few bones in his arm and hand, don't have the whole story yet but he was suppose to find out today if he needed surgery. If so I would imagine that they would send him to Ottawa so I will take some time off work to see him through that. Hopefully, he won't need surgery though. This means that his graduation from basic training is delayed until his arm is better and he is able to finish his course. He must be so frustrated, he has been waiting for so long to join the military and now he is there, this happens. Well, I guess things happen for a reason though.

Everyone enjoyed the last element sets I created that I wanted to do something similar for the boys Mischief Set but couldn't really find what I was looking for. Luckily for me one of my favorite designers The Scrappin Cop had recently put out some doodle animals and since I have a Commercial Use License from her I decided to use these animals to create tonight's freebie. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as the last set.

DSO Colour Challenge & Sean Comes Home Tonight!

Okay, so I'm very excited as Sean will be home tonight after being gone for six weeks. It was a busy day though and it helped pass the time.

Tonight's Freebie is part of the DSO Colour Challenge that is held every month. I absolutely loved the colours this month and the posting bonus is absolutely beautiful. I couldn't miss out. If you have the time you should check out thier blog and forum. They have some wonderful events going on.

Here is a preview of my MiniKit. I have included an ornament hook as part of the kit and another ornament of course. I have a few in mind to give in the upcoming weeks. I was also thinking of doing some with Initials. What do you think?

Its been a long day and its only day one of 38. Sean left this morning for Wainright, Alberta and I have been trying to keep busy with photoshop but its just not working. I'm distracted and can not concentrate on anything it seems. Maybe tonight I'll relax a little bit more and find that creative side of me that has been missing all day.

Monday Freebie - Halloween Characters

Oh the Blah of going to work on a Monday! At least I was able to have lunch with Sean as this is our last week together before he goes away for a month. Our big thrill for the night was watching the first episode of "The Unit" that we missed. How romantic for our last week together. At least he brought cheesecake to munch on while we watch our show.

Okay, so part of tonight's freebie comes from two templates created by "The Scrappin Cop." The Witch in the center and the Spider on the right were created using her templates. If you search her site, you will also find a Bat and Frankenstien type monster available for download.
