This Year-Neutral March Paper Freebie (24 hours only)

I was so happy to sleep in this morning and not to have to go to work.  I woke up with a migraine and had to take something for it.  Second time in three months I've taken my medication for a migraine.  Since my biopsy the beginning of January I have been very very hesitant to take ANYTHING even Tylenol because of the drug reaction I had with the anesthetic and migraine medication I was on which resulted in memory loss.

So on the home front, today I'm hoping to clean my kitchen and make some bread and take my pooch for a walk.  Its nice and sunny out.  Alex is making Tanner and I lunch (peameal bacon, eggs and bagel)  Yum!  I hope to spend a quiet evening watching a movie and scrapping tonight and perhaps find an hour to work on one of my shorthand lessons.  I take notes at work and meeting constantly so I thought if I learned shorthand I'd be more efficient at it.  Lets see how learning at home goes!

Quick Page Freebie and Preview of the Elements in the March Kits

I'm thankful that I have the weekend off as today is going to be another very busy work day.  I work in an office Monday to Friday 9 to 4:30 and I have a second job doing commercial office cleaning with my kids three times a week.  Usually I clean on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday but we switched it this week from Wednesday to Thursday which was lucky since my son was sick Tuesday and my cleaning night went to 11:45PM.  tonight might be the same as I think he is still down with a flu...although bonus is I can sleep in tomorrow. 

 

So here is a QP I created for my iPad but can be used in a brag book or digital photo frame.  Animals are a big part of our family and I'm sure your's as well.  This is a picture of my daughter Alexandra and her boyfriend Tanner and his dogs.  They went to the cottage with his parents and of course the dogs wanted to sleep in bed it seems!  One of his dogs believe it or not, his head smells like Welch's Grape Juice.  Apparently it has since he was a pup and it doesn't matter if they wash and shampoo him, the smell keeps coming back.  Personally, I'd rather smell Welch's Grape Juice than dog sometimes!  LOL.

Posting late again today as I have been absolutely swamped at work and doing double duty at my second job as my son has been sick and I've been cleaning on my own.  I didn't get home from work till 11:45pm last night.  LONG LONG day!  Tonight though, I'm off so I'll go home and clean my kitchen, make dinner, then scrap the rest of the evening.  I hope to have a special iPad QP for Crystalva as she told her son she would let him have the pet Guinea Pig or Hamster once she found scrapbook items of either.  HA HA HA.... be careful how you word promises ladies!

Its been a busy morning already, I've been up for over an hour and I have my grocery list ready for shopping, dishwasher emptied, showed my spare room to a student I'm hoping to rent to, and kitchen tidied and ready for the floor to be washed (but after I make the cookies)

This Year-Girl Corrugated Cardboard Freebie (24 Hours Only)

First off, since I was so busy at work yesterday and didn't have time to post I will be posting again tomorrow-Saturday!  I'd like to thank everyone for the nice comments they have left since I started this series.  I appreciate it as it does take hours to create each portion of these kits. 

 

I'm excited to start posting March's Papers, Elements and Alpha as I think they will be popular with many people not just those with kids.  Hint as to the theme of the Elements....many people have them and they treat them just like children.

 

I do like the texture of corrugated cardboard and find it easy to incorporate into layouts either as a background, layered paper or even clipped to a shape within the layout.  I hope you find many uses for these papers.

This Year-Neutral Solid Papers Freebie (24 hours only)

My week has been busy with working my two jobs and then Sean telling me he was coming up on Wednesday instead of Thursday this week.  This meant that Tuesday after working and going to Meeting and getting home at 10:15PM I had to tidy up a little bit at home, not that there was much to do with just Alexandra and I at home but things I didn't want to have to do while he was up visiting...like vacuum, clean the bathrooms, and wash the floors.  So far, we are having a nice visit and since our kitchen garbage disposal IS broken, not just jammed, he took it out and made our sink a regular sink.  I don't mind as garbage disposals are not good for the environment and requires the cities to treat the water with more chemicals.  Our weekend plans include a movie either tonight or Saturday, a winter picnic Saturday afternoon, and dinner at my son's place Sunday night.  Sounds like we will have time to relax and have some fun.

This Year-Girl Solid Paper Freebie (24 hours only)

It has been a busy day already.  Was up bright and early to change the sheets, make the bed, take the dog out and head into work this morning.  Sean is coming home for the rest of March Break and even thought I'm working all day and at my cleaning job tonight, I'm still anxious to see him.  I have tons of things to do while he is here, but hopefully we can do some of those things together...like make bread, cookies and muffins this weekend and I'm hoping we can get out for a winter picnic.

 

Alexandra came home with her Graduation Proof's on the weekend... oh my goodness!!! I can hardly wait till we get them without the word Proof written all over them to share with you. She is so beautiful and grown up. I can't believe she is only 17.... I think she looks like she should be graduating College or University but Yikes!!!! are they ever expensive to order!

This Year-Boy Solid Paper Freebie (24 hours only)

I'm going to get away from the monthly kits for the next two weeks and share with you first some solid papers, then some patterned papers.  On their own they do look a little boring however layered or clipped to shapes or mattes in templates they look amazing.

I was asked how I sort my kits.  Well, I've created a folder on my hard drive called This Year and then have in that folder a folder for each month, one named Alphabets and one named Paper Packs for the extra papers I will be handing out with this kit.  ie. Solids and patterned.  All the monthly items such as the January Papers and January Elements get put into the January Folder.  All the Alphabets, get unzipped into the Alphabet folder and the Extra Papers get unzipped into the Paper Packs Folder.  Make sense?  I hope so, I'm not always the best at explaining things.

This Year-Neutral February Element Freebie (24 hours only)

Happy Friday everyone.  I''m looking forward to my weekend as I should have a quiet one with my daughter working all weekend and my son and his GF moving into their own apartment.  They were suppose to go to Thailand however they had everything go wrong that could go wrong from luggage stolen, and the person doing their bank transfer-a bank employee (as they opened up a joint account at a different bank for this trip) decided to transfer all $30,000.  into his pocket.  Thankfully the money is insured and they will get it back but it may take up to two months for that to happen.  Luckily they discovered their money was gone two days before they got there and cancelled their trip.  Plane tickets and condo deposit was refundable as they got insurance.   Lucky them for that small saving grace.  So home they came and both managed to find jobs within a couple days so off they go to their own place.  I've cleaned out my kitchen for them with extra kitchen ware, bake ware and yes even groceries.... Mom's!!!

 

So I hope you enjoy today's freebie... I love the cherub.  Like I mentioned before if there are any people in the kits, I'll have five skin and hair variations of that person and that includes the cherub.  I'd love to see what you are creating with my kits as I notice many people are taking advantage of the free downloads.

This Year-Boy February Element Freebie (24 hours only)

Posting just a little late this morning so I'll leave this post up a little later tomorrow as well.  It was a lovely weekend here. I managed to get the house clean, spend some time relaxing and reading and watching Star Trek on Netflix along with another show called Medium.

This Year-Neutral January Alpha Freebie (24 Hours Only)

Well, here is the last part of the January Freebies.  If you missed out on anything be sure you use one of my coupon codes when you purchase the portions of the kit that you missed at IvyScraps.

Someone asked me about the white on white alpha... that the girl and boy alphas looked identical... almost, perhaps it is difficult to see the subtle difference in the colours however they are different shades.  I used 6 main colours in two shades to create each portion of these kits and yes the whites/beige's are very similar in each.
