Yesterday was busy at work and I managed to get to bed at a decent hour. Sean was back to work for his first two days this week since he returned home on tour-he made out just fine. Wednesday will be a day off for him before he goes back on shifts. Twelve hour days...agggg. What is worse is that it will be from noon to midnight or 11AM to 11PM, four on, four off..... doesn't leave much time for us as a family on the days he works but at least those nights I can plan to work on stuff for the blog and try to keep my computer time to a minimum when he is home.

I'm looking for suggestions for future element freebies you may want to see. I'd also like to thank everyone again for all the nice comments and e-mails. Its nice that everyone seems to appreciate all the work that gets put into creating these kits. I've really been enjoying it and as we are now almost half way through the alphabet... I'm beginning to think of what I may do next after Princess and Mischief. Not sure yet, but I have some idea's that I'm writing down that I'll look over closer to Z.

Mischief Christmas Freebie

Sorry I was not able to post yesterday. I was at the hospital first thing in the morning for blood work and my white blood cell count was back to its lowest again. It was depressing thinking that I still have to be so careful when I'm finally near the end of my medication. I have to be careful that I don't catch a cold of a flu for the next little while with my white blood cell count so low.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the Mischief Freebie. I will post my Christmas Add-On as soon as I can get a preview ready-which I am hoping is later tonight. Princess Christmas Freebie

Well, this was a tough decision to make... I had purchased scripts before I got sick and a few afterwards hoping to make an add on to sell in the stores for the month of December but we all know that, that didn't happen. Princess L Elements Freebie

Well, I got a great nights sleep thanks to a sleeping pill last night. Woke up without any nausea but that was only a temporary reprieve. I managed to get some work on my Christmas Kits, I hope you enjoy them when I post them later this week. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a chance to work on them again tomorrow.

I added a few extra word labels in tonight's kit and some of the elements have been re-sized to fit in the preview. Only the July to December Clips are in this kit, January to June will be in the M Element Kit. I hope you enjoy these, I'll be back tomorrow with the Mischief Letter L.

Suport Our Troops Freebie

Today's freebie came about as I was looking for Christmas Ornaments and I discovered a very cute military snowman and thought he would have been perfect for my husband but being Canadian, we wear berets and not caps/hats. I wanted to do something for Sean since he is away on tour and to celebrate my son Robert's Graduation from Basic Training and so I contacted the one person that I thought could help bring my snowman vision to a reality. Deb at the Scrappin Cop made me a wonderful template from the ornament picture I sent her. From there I created Sean Snowman and Robert Snowman. (Sean is Military Police and Robert is Infantry) If you like the templates please visit Deb's blog at the Scrappin Cop as she has both snowmen templates available today as freebies as well.

Other help came from Joanne at Joanne's Digital Designz. I knew that I would find the perfect Christmas Scripts to create Christmas themed Support Our Troops Items. Holidays are so important and I'm fortunate that Sean will be back from his tour in time to celebrate Christmas with us while some other wife, mother, husband, father, brother, sister or child has to do without their family member this year. I wanted to make sure they had a way to show their support of their family during the holidays.

I've separated the files to download as quickly as possible also, there are Canadian and American verions of the elements as well as the just yellow elements. If you use this kit, I'd love to see your layouts, feel free to send me a link to your gallery or blog. Please enjoy and I hope and pray that if you have a loved one serving somewhere in the world that they return home safely to you. Aunt & Uncle

I grew up with a wonderful Aunt and Uncle living down the road from me. She was a teacher and he drove a truck for road construction etc. I spent a lot of time with them and the one gift my Aunt was famous for was books. Most kids wanted toys for Christmas, I always loved the books she would give me. I still have fond memories of my bathrobe melting because I threw it over my lamp to dim the light so my parents didn't notice I was STILL up reading the latest Nancy Drew book I'd recieved. As an adult I finally completed my Nancy Drew Collection and have passed them on to my daughters to read and thanks to my Aunt books is the one thing Alex and I just can't live without.

Nana & Papa Ornaments

Since not everyone calls their Grandparents Grandma and Grandpa I thought it would be nice to do Nana & Papa. Grandma & Grandpa

I'm not sure Christmas would be Christmas without the love of Grandma's and Grandpa's in our lives. One tradition in our family use to be a tangerine in the bottom of the stocking, something my grandfather always did and my father as well. My Grandmother well her specialty at Christmas was always my favorite shortbread cookies. They are both gone now but my mom has taken up some of the traditions of baking my favorite cookies and my dad, well we always look for that tangerine in our stockings still.

New Years Eve, I'm fortunate enough to work only half a day and have New Years Day off. I'm expecting my Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law along with Charlotte their daughter today. P & Q

Okay so I'm cheating since I'm sharing a laptop right now with Sean and the extra kids in the house this week. I've created the remainder of the ornaments Sunday while Sean is swimming with TC at the base, Robert is busy watching TV and Alex is cleaning her room. Wow, silence is golden after the commotion of the past few days. Monday I'm back to work and Sean is off with the kids but has to drive two and a half hours one way to get his daughter Alora and luckily is off the rest of the week with them!

I think I'm going to enjoy being at work during the day!

FINALLY N & O

I'm terribly sorry for not posting sooner. I really wanted to get the rest of these ornaments uploaded before Christmas however there were a few problems before the holidays. One major issue became the LACK of a computer. My father wanted to get my mom a laptop for Christmas and mine is only two years old and in good shape so Sean suggested that I give her mine and he buy me a new one since I'm using it for alot more these days. I format ed mine and wrapped it up for her, and then searched high and low for for my Photoshop CS3 disk so I could install it on Sean's laptop. Do you think I could find where I put the disk so I wouldn't loose it? LOL. Finally found it last night and now I can finish my ornaments for you.

I still don't have a laptop but we are going to Ottawa in a few weeks. A weekend holiday before Sean begins training to be deployed. I thought it would be nice to go to Ottawa so that we can use the new climbing harness I got for Christmas and go skating on the Rideau Canal and eat hot Beaver Tails with Cinnamon and sugar. Hmmmm!

L & Mele Kalikimaka

I had a request from Leilani who lives in Hawaii for an ornament with Mele Kalikimaka on it which is Merry Christmas in Hawaiian. I'm envious since we have a couple feet of snow and I'm sure she is enjoying the sunshine. I am also posting the ornament with the initial L on it.

I'd like to say thank you to everyone that left comments regarding Alex singing, I still do not have the Video her brother took but I do hope to post it soon. I was so nervous but she did a wonderful job and her friends were amazing. They created T-Shirts with her name and then did posters to bring saying "Vote for Alex" She didn't win but had allot of fun and I believe it boosted her confidence. Which is always a bonus.

J & K and Son & Daughter

As promised here are the #1 Son and #1 Daughter Ornaments as well as the J & K Ornaments. Its another snowy day here today, Monday gave us 10 inches and we are expecting 9 more inches today. I'm so thankful that when Sean is deployed next year it will be for the summer months... I'd hate to have to shovel snow for months on end.

Yes, you heard me right, Sean is being deployed and going on tour. That was his welcome home e-mail from his boss's. Even though he doesn't leave until June he will be gone a fair bit starting in February doing training and preparing for his tour. I'm thankful he will be home though in time for Christmas next year as his return date is December 21st, 2009. I think the kids and I can manage him missing Birthdays, Thanksgiving and all the in between holidays as long as he is home for Christmas.
