Aunt & Uncle

I grew up with a wonderful Aunt and Uncle living down the road from me. She was a teacher and he drove a truck for road construction etc. I spent a lot of time with them and the one gift my Aunt was famous for was books. Most kids wanted toys for Christmas, I always loved the books she would give me. I still have fond memories of my bathrobe melting because I threw it over my lamp to dim the light so my parents didn't notice I was STILL up reading the latest Nancy Drew book I'd recieved. As an adult I finally completed my Nancy Drew Collection and have passed them on to my daughters to read and thanks to my Aunt books is the one thing Alex and I just can't live without.

  3. Thank you so much for all the beautiful Christmas ornaments you have shared!

I enjoy reading all the comments you post with the new ornament. I have a very favorite Aunt and Uncle so I'm very happy to see this set to use in a project with their photos.

I love to read too!! Both my parents are/were avid readers and they passed on their love of reading to all of their children. A book is still my favorite gift to give and receive.

  4. I,too, love these Christmas Ornaments. I also loved Nancy Drew. My granddaughter is 8 1/2 and I was wondering at Christmas, how old she should be to read Nancy Drew. I settled for Ramona the Pest and Junie B. which she loves.

  5. I started to read Nancy Drew at around 8. I'm not sure what the new Nancy Drew Series is like but I'd let my daughter read the old series at around the same age.
