Mischief Christmas Freebie

Sorry I was not able to post yesterday. I was at the hospital first thing in the morning for blood work and my white blood cell count was back to its lowest again. It was depressing thinking that I still have to be so careful when I'm finally near the end of my medication. I have to be careful that I don't catch a cold of a flu for the next little while with my white blood cell count so low.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the Mischief Freebie. I will post my Christmas Add-On as soon as I can get a preview ready-which I am hoping is later tonight. Well, this was a tough decision to make... I had purchased scripts before I got sick and a few afterwards hoping to make an add on to sell in the stores for the month of December but we all know that, that didn't happen. Back Christmas Day with Christmas Freebie's

Just wanted to let you know I have not forgotten to include Christmas as part of the Mischief and Princess Kits. I started my day off at the hospital for more blood work and spent the morning with my kids as they were off to Grandma's and Grandpa's out of town for the night. Its nice they are old enough to drive. Sean and I stayed home with TC his son. I slept the afternoon away and managed to get up around 6pm to help with dinner-and that was my night till now. Perhaps with a bit of sleep I will be able to get the preview's and final touches on the Christmas Kits for you.

Mischief L Element Freebie

I spoke to one of my bosses today. Made me miss work a little bit but am nervous about all the work that has potentially piled up while I've been away. Guess I'll find out when I go back after Christmas-I've missed so much work that I have to go back.

So today was mostly a write off, same as yesterday, most of the day was spent sleeping. Kids are out bowling with Sean tonight, Rob stayed home and went and got me some cream soda as I'm getting really tired of Orange Juice, Grapefruit Juice, Gingerale and Tea.

It was a long day and I'm ready for bed at 7PM already. Its amazing how quickly I get tired doing something as simple as taking out the trash and recycling. I had asked my son to get it all ready for tomorrow, but he went snowboarding this morning, and didn't have time when he got home so I went out to the garage to get it done as both Sean and Marc are not home till late this evening. Wouldn't be a big deal except it comes by fairly early in the morning-go figure.

Anyway, I made some Christmas Papers today for the Christmas Kit I've created for the Princess & Mischief Kits that I'll put out later this week. In the mean time, enjoy the Mischief Letter L.

Princess L Elements Freebie

Well, I got a great nights sleep thanks to a sleeping pill last night. Woke up without any nausea but that was only a temporary reprieve. I managed to get some work on my Christmas Kits, I hope you enjoy them when I post them later this week. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a chance to work on them again tomorrow.

I added a few extra word labels in tonight's kit and some of the elements have been re-sized to fit in the preview. Only the July to December Clips are in this kit, January to June will be in the M Element Kit. I hope you enjoy these, I'll be back tomorrow with the Mischief Letter L.

Princess L Letter Freebie

I had to double check twice to make sure that I was posting the right letters-and yes I had to sing part of the alphabet song to make sure.

So medical update, my blood work today was better, back in the morning again though to check again. I guess my hemoglobin was down from what is considered normal and my white blood cell count was 1.3 and normal is anything over 4.3 so I need to make sure I stay away from anyone with a cold or flu as white blood cell's help your body fight infection and right now I have a low resistance.

So even though I got up this morning and then slept the day away, I did have the letters for tonight's posting made-just not the preview-so I found time after dinner to do that. Hope you enjoy the letters, I'll be back with the papers. Enjoy your evening and talk to you all tomorrow.

Back tomorrow with the letter L

Just an update to those following my progress with the letters and health. I'm taking the night off as I'm absolutely beat. I had a follow up appointment today, along with blood work-thought everything was within the norm when I left the hospital however I got a call at home tonight saying that among other things my white blood cell count is so low they want to monitor me more closely and that I am to take my temperature often to make sure it does not go above 37.5. So I'm back to the hospital tomorrow and for the next few days for more blood work to make sure I'm okay.

On a good note, we went to my daughter Alexandra's Christmas Recital tonight-she sang beautifully-my other excuse for not posting tonight. Robert also comes home tonight or early tomorrow morning from basic training we expect his bus to come in at about 5am. No I'm not going to go get him however, Sean and Marc will. I'll see him when I get up-or when he gets up after his night of traveling.

Mischief K Elements Freebie

I'm soo sorry for not posting last night, just way too tired and fell asleep early thinking of course I'd get up at some point to finish up the word labels and then post however I finally got up this morning sometime around nine and its been slow going. Haven't been out of the house since yesterday, not looking forward to tomorrow's poking and prodding with a needle either.

I'm sure many of you can relate to what I'm about to tell you but since I've started this medication in emergency, by a specialist, I was told to follow up with my family physician in the next few days. (When I first started my meds two weeks ago but before this week's appointment-tomorrow.) So when I called the office and spoke to the secretary, told her my name-she was like okay and you need to see the Dr for what? I asked her if she had received all my paperwork from the hospital and specialist and indicated that I was told to see my family Dr by such a date and why-she puts me on hold- comes back and says-no, you can come see us in Mid January! Good thing I really don't need to see him that badly-and they wonder why the Emergency Rooms are all booked up with people who don't want to see their family Dr's or can't because they have Wednesday and Friday Afternoon's off. Luckily I'm already at the hospital and they will be able to take care of what my Family Dr should be doing for me.


I shouldn't complain-we have decent health care here in Ontario-just the bedside manner of a few leave something to be desired. Sorry for not posting these last night, please enjoy the elements and I will be back tomorrow with the Princess Letter L.

Mischief Paper K Freebie

It was a long day and I napped part of it away. Got up this morning to make some no-bake cheesecake for Sean's Christmas Party at work tonight. It was pot-luck and one of his favorite deserts so I made two, one for the party, one for home. Didn't tell him that otherwise he would have eaten one to himself during the day.

So the get together and dinner was for 5-5:30, and bless Sean's heart for thinking that letting me sleep was the best idea he had but when I woke up at 4:45 and realized the time, I wanted to kill him. Somewhere back on tour I'm going to assume-he forgot it takes women longer to get ready than that! lol. He said no rush but... I did and we got there minutes before they started to eat. Good think I wasn't going for the "All Dolled Up" look. lol. I showered, and had my dress ready, threw on some make up, Alex helped dry and flat iron my hair a bit. I wore a dress Sean picked up for me on tour and brought home earlier this summer. Perhaps I'll get it off Alex's camera tomorrow to scrap. Speaking of Alex I think she stole the heart of a 6 year old tonight, he literally came up behind me on my chair pushed me off just to sit with her. It was kind of cute and he was soooo obvious. His Mom took the hint and hired her to babysit...lol.

Mischief Letter K Freebie

Thank you for the vote of confidence with the clothes line from yesterday's element set. I thought it was cute even if the men folk in this house didn't...lol.

So I didn't sleep well last night and at some early part of the morning, I finally gave in and got up and took half of a sleeping pill. Did not want to sleep the day away. No nausea this morning and ate okay, this afternoon was okay, managed to go out with Sean to pick up Alexandra after her sleepover at her girlfriends house last night. I did work on some elements for an upcoming kit this afternoon. Tonight, the naseau is back however and I feel absolutely beat. Not to mention I'm having mood swings with this medication I think... or perhaps that just the normal me-can't tell anymore whats normal for me at the moment.

Princess K Element Freebie

Well, I managed to sleep in and wake up without feeling nausea's for most of the day! I think I will attribute that not to the sleeping pill I took last night but the power of prayer and positive thoughts from all my blog readers. Whoo hoo, mind you I slept most of the day away however, I did have time to create the tape words and a throw together an element set. Not sure what your going to think of the clothes line... I had created when I first started the Princess & Mischief Series but wasn't sure about posting it. I've included some clothes pins in this set so I threw it in there even though Sean really didn't get it, although he knew where I was going with it...hanging your pictures from the line... he went "Um ya okay" which wasn't encouraging but I'm sure someone out there is creative enough to make it work. lol.

Sorry, no post tonight

I want to apologize for not posting tonight's freebie and thank everyone who has been wishing me to get better. I'm going to take tonight off and hopefully post sometime during the day tomorrow. I have not really explained why I'm feeling so ill and don't want to really get into it however I'm taking medication that I really need to take as it is potentially life saving. (that's sounds so dramatic -don't mean it to be however that's the reality of this medication) I've been on this now for 12 days and have another 16 days to go and honestly I want to call it quits that's how lousy it makes me feel however, anyone with kids can tell you-you don't give in so easily when something as simple as a medication could potentially save your life. Just so you all know, I love posting daily, its been rewarding and something to look forward to-however tonight-I just can't, the nausea is just so overwhelming and I can't concentrate long enough to put together the element package. I'm sure some sleep and Gravol taken a little earlier in the day tomorrow will help. Thank you to everyone who has been commenting on my posts and thanking me for the downloads-it has been very much appreciated.

Princess K Paper Freebie

I almost fell asleep, well, actually I did fall asleep early tonight but did manage to get up when my son Marc called asking for a ride home from work as it was snowing so hard here today the kids had a snow day-and it is still snowing. I had a Dr. appointment and have the week off work to look after myself so.... I'm going to do that along with pre posting a few blog entries, just in case I fall asleep at 7PM again this week.

Sean is home and it has been busy. Alex made gingerbread cookies today-they taste great, just need the mess in the kitchen cleaned up now. I hate to tell my mother but I think she may have just made better gingerbread than she does. Perhaps I'll share that with Alexandra tomorrow as she was in bed early herself tonight and I didn't get a chance to tell her after Sean brought me one of her cookies to sample. I think though we should keep that news from my mother for a little while though...what do you think? lol.

I'm not sure yet what I'm going to be doing for this element set yet but I have a day to think about it.

Well yes Sean is home and is busy settling back in. He has had two half days at work, yesterday I slept away his afternoon off. Today I pushed myself into work and I think I'll do the same again tomorrow even though I should be taking it easier. I did manage to take a nap during my lunch hour. I locked the office door, turned out the lights and went into the conference room, put my feet up on another chair, curled right up and slept for almost an hour. Didn't want to wake up, but made some tea and plugged away at the rest of the day.

Well, I can't believe we are already at the letter K, not quite half way through the alphabet yet, but getting close. I've loved every minute of it-hope you have too.

FINALLY - Mischief J Elements Freebie

WOW, its true Sean is finally home! He was due to arrive on Saturday at 4:30 but the plane landed at 5:20 and then we had to wait to see him until 6:20 until after everyone on the lane had gotten their luggage. Some little boys were anxiously waiting for their Daddy to come home and were peeking through the crack in the glass door's and then under and around security's legs as they opened the doors to come in and out just to catch a glimpse of their Dad. It was cute, but a long wait.

Ended up staying the night with friends, went to visit Sean's Brother and his family Sunday Morning, then surprising his Mom and Dad later that day, then back home finally where we arrived around 9:20 PM after a long 6 hr day long drive. Nice to be home-Sean is working his half day today, I'm feeling sick and I'm exhausted after the weekend of travelling however I will try to go to work tomorrow. I really can't be missing work despite what the Dr says about how I should take the whole 28 days of my treatment off.

Mischief J Paper Freebie & NEWS!

I took a sleeping pill last night and I was able to fall asleep and of course none of the housework that needed to be done was completed. I was awakened this morning at 8:30 AM and it was Sean. As I said good-bye to him, I said, well 7 more sleeps till I see you, his reply was "Actually, I'll see you tomorrow night!" Whoo hoo, he is on his way home as I post this blog and when I get up in the morning, I'm driving down to Trenton to pick him up. Since is a long drive and someone from his unit will also be meeting him when he lands, I will be following them down to Trenton. Perfect since I'm not familiar with the route and with feeling under the weather-nice to know someone else will be around.

Unfortunately this means that tomorrow's elements may not be posted on time or until sometime on Sunday since I will be driving tomorrow and without Internet Access until perhaps sometime in the evening and even then its possible I'll be without until I get home on Sunday. Please forgive me-Sean coming home threw a wrench in my plans... I've been busy steam cleaning carpets, cleaning toilets, folding laundry and everything else in between all with the nausea, dizziness and stomach pains I have been having while on this medication-thank goodness the kids helped but I'm ready for bed.

Mischief Lettre J Freebie

Thank you to everyone on the advice on how to deal with the dog. Tanya and I have purchased plenty of chew toys for her and I did buy some bitter apple spray to keep her from chewing on the carpet but to no avail. We are both trying to occupy her time however it doesn't seem to be working-she is a puppy-can't change what she is we will just have to wait till she outgrows her puppy stage.

Also thank you for all the best wishes regarding my being ill. The medication I'm on for another 24 days are really hard on my system. I think part of the problem is I'm not sleeping either and don't want to take the sleeping pills that have been prescribed as they make me feel very groggy for hours after I get up the next day. I think tonight though I'm going to cave and take something.

Princess J Element Freebie

Oh I am so very very sad and my daughter has a VERY VERY BAD dog. At the top of my stairs I have a book shelf that Sean made me for my special books... my hard cover Nancy Drew Series, my 1887 copy of The Scarlet Letter etc. With the exception of my Nancy Drew books, most of the books on this shelf are at least 75 years old and today... Uncle Tom's Cabin and Huckleberry Finn were destroyed by the furry beast in our house. The dog, not the ferret! I was in litteral tears. I had a long talk with Tanya when she got home, also spoke to Sean again, guess he is anxious to come home and be master of the house as right now... its the dog!

I'm not getting a whole lot done around here. I've been sick this week and the medication I'm on is really dragging me down. I haven't been to work at all this week and I've managed to do housework in spurts of 20-30 minutes, followed by a rest or nap of at least an hour or more. I never expected to feel this old at 40...luckily I know I'm only on this medication short term.

So tonight's freebie was inspired by the last of the warm days we had here. Normally where I live we have about 6 inches to a foot of snow by now. This past Saturday it was 6 degree's here. Finally got snow on Sunday, the ground is somewhat covered in patches of white but its still not the usual cold temperatures and snow, so time to post some summer freebies before I start on the winter ones. Well my intentions were good when I got up at 8:30 AM to the ringing of the phone...telemarketers.. and I'm on the do not call list...go figure! When I did get up, I managed to fold some laundry and put it away. Tanya had a job interview at 11 which she tells me went well. (Good luck sweetie). Marc helped with a few chores around the house, then my girlfriend Deb came over for coffee.

Sean called shortly after that, we are 12 sleeps away from his homecoming. Turns out I was wrong about his time off when he gets home. He works three half days then is off for 15 days. Since he works shifts, he is off a little more than 15 days. It will hopefully give him time to relax and adjust to being home. Robert will be home for Christmas on the 16th, then will go to his Dads after Christmas with is Brother Marc. It will be nice to have him home. Perhaps I'll get some pictures and scrap them with my Support Our Troops Kit.

Mischief Alphabet I Freebie

I hope that everyone in the USA enjoyed their Thanksgiving Day. I think my favorite is the leftover turkey sandwiches or hot turkey sandwiches smothered in gravy with a bit of stuffing on the side. My mom makes her own cranberry sauce-always that nice extra special touch.

So I'm going to start the countdown to Sean coming home... 14 more sleeps... whoo hooo.... I can hardly wait. I'm going to try to get some more alphabet and paper sets zipped this weekend so that when he is home, I'm not taking up my time creating them. Shouldn't be much of a problem though as he comes home Friday and can you believe that after being gone since June 4th, he goes back to work that Monday? Sounds a bit nuts if you ask me!

The day started off like most others however I got a call at lunch time that I needed to pick up Alexandra at school as she was sick. Seems like she has something like a stomach flu of some sort-I stayed home with her this afternoon as Tanya was writing her English Exam. The day was not a total write off as I managed to wash the kitchen floor as well.

The kids are out at the movies tonight (They have gone to see New Moon-yes I want to see it too but don't want to fight the crowds) I have the dog sleeping on Sean's side of the bed at the moment snoring away... I just hope that when Sean comes home the dog does not get too jealous or protective and lets him have his side of the bed back. I guess I've let her sleep in here from time to time to keep me company-maybe not the best thing for me to do but I'm sure she will adjust fine when Sean gets home.

Princess Letter I Freebie

I was asked what my time frame was for finishing the Princess and Mischief Kits and if I'd thought this through before I started the kits due to how long it is going to take to get through all the letters. Well, yes it is a long undertaking, 26 letters means a minimum of 26 weeks while we are only at the letter I, that means it will be at least the end of March before we get to the letter Z. I started this because Sean was away on tour to keep me busy. It has helped immensely and I've managed to get things organized in such a way that creating the letters and papers has been simplified-sort of. lol! Sean comes home in almost three weeks, and I know your all going to worry that I won't finish the set but from my understanding he only has five days off when he comes home and then no holidays until April.

The really challenging part for these kits is the element sets. What do I create next? What holidays are coming up? What can I do to include them in this kit? What can I do that is unique, what will everyone like? And I keep running all these questions through my mind as I put these kits together. Having said that I've created something a little dfferent for this week's elements as I know it is Thanksgiving in the United States and I wanted to incorporate this into this weeks Elements.

Bag of Words Freebie

If you have been downloading the Element Sets, you will probably have noticed that you can't really make out sentences yet with the words that have been given because well... words like and, the and if, or and every are missing. I created these tape words for these kits because one of my favorite things to play with as I pass my fridge are the word magnets I have on there. The kids and I create sentences, sometimes messages to each other and sometimes just silly sentences.

Well, to solve that problem and fill a few requests for special theme words I've made up my first Word Bag for you. Yes, the bag is part of the kit. This set includes some basic words and Girl Guide, Girl Scout and High School words as requested for a total of 81 words. Mischief H Paper Freebie

Well the day did not start off in the best of ways. I had a migraine and ended up staying home from work. I still have a headache but its not too bad but I'm going to go to bed a little earlier than my usual midnight tonight. On a good note about my day-I did get the air conditioner covered for the winter and Marc my son was able to tidy the shed in the back yard. Tanya got her bed frame put together so that they can deliver her mattresses tomorrow and Alex... well her room is still a National Disaster Zone, but at least the laundry got done and the dishes brought down and put in the dishwasher. I've told her she can't have company this weekend if her room does not pass my inspection. She has been working on it and yes it does look a bit better.

It was a very long day today at work but was able to chat with Sean today online. Just a little over three weeks before he comes home. I can hardly wait. Oh, I'm having computer issues tonight and I knew I should have waited until the weekend before playing around installing and un-installing photoshop....lol. I did some updates the weekend before last for Vista and it did something to my copy of Photoshop that I had to re-install it. Well as my luck would have it, I couldn't find my CD but I did have the older version, so I un-installed what I had, rebooted and installed the old version of Photoshop that I had. Well it worked and then today I found CS3 and wanted to install it and I keep getting errors when I do. AGGGGG. Luckily I had today's posting ready and zip'd before I did all this so I should warn you, tomorrow's posting might be a day late... if I can't get my computer up and running at a reasonable hour.

Enjoy tonight's papers, I'm going to finish un-installing and reboot and see where I'm at.

Princess Letter H Freebie

Well, I did not get all the things done I wanted to yesterday but I did manage to have a night off...sort of at least from Scrapbooking. Alexandra volunteered yesterday and Marc tried out for the basketball team... and of course Mom does all the driving since Marc is grounded from using the car. So I was up early after almost next to no sleep Friday night and Saturday I just dragged my butt around it seemed. Today my greatest accomplishment is Bing is eating again thanks to the baby food I bought him-I tried to find that Duck Soup mix that was suggested but none of the pet stores here carry it so when I'm in Southern Ontario in December I'll try to find a few larger pet stores and see if I can find some just in case for next time.

Well, I have two lists of tape words I hope to upload later this week-keep the words coming as I'll continue working on the words until it is time to post them.

Mischief Element G Freebie

It is finally Friday and I hope that means I can sleep in tomorrow regardless of the fact there are a million things I'd like to do tomorrow. One of them is work on some more element sets for upcoming letters.

Mischief G Paper Freebie

Its been a long week at work and there has been so much to do that I I'm glad to be going to bed tonight before 11pm. I'm tired and it seems there is so much I want to get done around the house before Sean gets home in a month and not enough hours (and occasionally motivation) to get it all done. Tanya tonight is busy painting her room a nice lilac colour. I had to chuckle since that is the colour I had painted my room as a teen. Sometimes we are more like our parents than we realize.

Bing our Ferret has not been feeling the best lately and the pet store no longer carries his brand of food and the little guy does not like either type we just bought him and he seems to be loosing weight. (He doesn't weigh much to begin with so loosing a little weight is no good for him.) Luckily when we got him three years ago, I had read somewhere that if I occasionally give him Chicken or Turkey baby food as a treat then if he is ever sick he will have food he will be able to digest. So yes, I went to Walmart and bought Chicken and Broth and Turkey and Sweet Potato for him. Started with the Chicken and he ate about a Tablespoon of it, Tanya is going to put another Teaspoon out for him before she goes to bed as ferrets eat approximately every three hours. If he isn't eating properly in a day or two, I'll take him to the vet and make sure he is okay.

Mischief Letter G Freebie

I'm surprised that there were not more downloads yesterday of the Element Set. It was one of my favorite sets so far. I was thinking I'd use the box to put a picture of my daughter in the larger window and then some of her favorite items in the smaller boxes. And yes, Princess is one of her nick-names being the baby girl of the family.

So today was Remembrance Day here and although many banks and businesses were closed I had to work and was unable to attend any ceremonies. (Nice considering my husband is overseas on tour!) I did manage to speak to Sean today-he is anxious to come home. I've been busy cleaning-Tanya is painting her room so its all organized and tidy when he gets home. When she is completely moved into the spare bedroom later this week I hope to go through all the stuff we have in storage and sort through it all. Robert also called me today, he is to have surgery on his hand on December 8th. I guess I'll see him Christmas Holidays.

It was another very long day and I'm tired. I created this set on the weekend thinking of all the nick-knacks I had as a child on my shelves at home. Suport Our Troops Freebie

Today's freebie came about as I was looking for Christmas Ornaments and I discovered a very cute military snowman and thought he would have been perfect for my husband but being Canadian, we wear berets and not caps/hats. I wanted to do something for Sean since he is away on tour and to celebrate my son Robert's Graduation from Basic Training and so I contacted the one person that I thought could help bring my snowman vision to a reality. Deb at the Scrappin Cop made me a wonderful template from the ornament picture I sent her. From there I created Sean Snowman and Robert Snowman. (Sean is Military Police and Robert is Infantry) If you like the templates please visit Deb's blog at the Scrappin Cop as she has both snowmen templates available today as freebies as well.

Other help came from Joanne at Joanne's Digital Designz. I knew that I would find the perfect Christmas Scripts to create Christmas themed Support Our Troops Items. Holidays are so important and I'm fortunate that Sean will be back from his tour in time to celebrate Christmas with us while some other wife, mother, husband, father, brother, sister or child has to do without their family member this year. I wanted to make sure they had a way to show their support of their family during the holidays.

I've separated the files to download as quickly as possible also, there are Canadian and American verions of the elements as well as the just yellow elements. If you use this kit, I'd love to see your layouts, feel free to send me a link to your gallery or blog. I am so thankful it is Friday and I have the weekend to look forward to-there is so much that I need to get done around here starting by getting up bright and early tomorrow morning to get snow tires on the car.
