I hope everyone had a great Halloween. Normally I get about 150-200 kids here however this year I think I got about 30-50 total. I know the city has been hit pretty hard with the flu and all but I really thought the kids would be out in full force to collect candy. I was very surprised.

I have been busy here with having been sick all week. Time to catch up on the laundry, which I will fold tomorrow and cleaning the rest of the house and getting the last of those flu germs out of here. lol

Princess F Paper Freebie

Are you getting tired yet of collecting these or do you look forward to the daily postings? I know I am enjoying making these and trying to figure out what elements to create with each set.

For all those that sent "Get Well Wishes" to me and my family THANK YOU, I think it finally worked. I spent the late afternoon and evening feeling like myself again and the kids are well except for the persisting cough and are busy making Halloween plans. Well, Alex is not making too many as she is playing basketball out of town this weekend but will still get in a bit of Halloween Festivities as her Coach has organized a party for the girls.

Princess Alpha F Freebie

I thought on Monday that I would be able to go to work on Tuesday but I woke up at 4:30 AM absolutely freezing and nausea's. Yes, I had a fever, and a bladder infection.. and was sick to my stomach... it was not much fun. Turns out that one of the local schools of 600 students had approximately 200 of them off sick on Monday as well. Guess the flu is really hitting us hard.

I managed to get to work for about 2 hours this morning before getting sick to my stomach again. Alex stayed home today as her fever is back. Aggg, will it ever end! Thank goodness Marc hasn't caught it, although I have no idea how he has escaped with both of his sisters sick and me.

So latest news on my son Robert... his hand is broke in approximately 4 places, tendons torn as well. See's a specialist tomorrow about surgery. His team-mate pushed him out of the way of artillery fire (mock artillery fire as he is in basic training) and I guess the way he landed on his rifle and team mate on top of him lead to his broken hand. All is well though, spoke to him today... wants a care pkg. of candy, so I'm going to go buy him a box of Halloween chocolate bars. (And it has to be a box because he has to share any candy sent from home with his whole unit).

Mischief Element E Freebie

Well, after getting up late this morning and feeling like I had been hit by a bus I decided to stay home from work. I ended up sleeping for most of the day until around 3PM. I think that's when I started to feel a bit better. I've eaten a little bit, and yes I finally feel alive although my throat is still sore but no more fever.

Thank you to everyone who wished me well in getting better, I think it worked! Alexandra went to school today...whoo hoo. Received an e-mail from my son Robert though he is in St. Jean Quebec doing his basic training. He broke a few bones in his arm and hand, don't have the whole story yet but he was suppose to find out today if he needed surgery. If so I would imagine that they would send him to Ottawa so I will take some time off work to see him through that. Hopefully, he won't need surgery though. This means that his graduation from basic training is delayed until his arm is better and he is able to finish his course. He must be so frustrated, he has been waiting for so long to join the military and now he is there, this happens. Well, I guess things happen for a reason though.

Everyone enjoyed the last element sets I created that I wanted to do something similar for the boys Mischief Set but couldn't really find what I was looking for. Luckily for me one of my favorite designers The Scrappin Cop had recently put out some doodle animals and since I have a Commercial Use License from her I decided to use these animals to create tonight's freebie. I hope everyone enjoys them as much as the last set.

Mischief E Paper Freebie

Oh, I'm sick and haven't gotten out of bed all day except to lay down on a mattress in the living room so I could at least see the kids. My daughter Alexandra who is now over her flu was questioning me about my symptoms from a handout she got at school. Wanted to make sure I didn't have the H1N1 virus. If I hadn't been so sick it might have been funny considering she was sick on Thursday-Friday.

Princess Element Set E Freebie

Well, another day at home with Alexandra. I thought her fever had broken this morning when I got up but that didn't last for very long and she spent the day in bed. You can always tell when the kids are really sick...they are not in front of the TV playing X-Box or games on the computer. Although she did watch "Anne of Green Gables" on her laptop this afternoon, but fell asleep part way into it.

I managed to get a short nap in this morning as I was exhausted and then worked on tonight's elements. Also managed to vacuum and wash the kitchen floor and tidy the kitchen and put the laundry away that was already washed. Didn't have much energy to do a whole lot. I think it may be an early bedtime for me tonight as I am to drive to Barrie tomorrow to pick up a Dry Suit for diving.

Some of you asked for animals so here is the first set of them. They match both kits but most of the colours are from the Princess Kit so I'm putting them here. The Ivy colours are from the Princess Kit. Yes, the Mischief Kit will have Ivy in the greens from that kit along with some animals I hope to create before then.

Princess E Paper Freebie

Oh it was a long day... last night after Alexandra's basketball practice I brought her home and she ate some pizza I had bought and went straight to bed. She was feeling a bit warm and I had to get her some cough drops that morning but nothing I was worried about. I gave her some Tylenol and she was in bed by 8pm which if you have teen kids you know is unusual. Well this morning she gets up and crawls into my room saying she doesn't feel well. When I say crawl, I mean she literally was on the floor. I couldn't find my thermometer, so I rushed to the department store around the corner and bought a new one. Came home, and her temperature was 103. Needless to say my heart skipped a beat or two when I saw that.

Long story short, probably just the flu, but they took a throat swab just to make sure, will get the results in a day or two. Her temperature is sitting just below 100 and she is still in bed drinking lots of juice and fortunately hungry and eating. Unfortunately for her she will more than likely miss out on this weekends basketball games and weekend retreat with her team.

Princess Letter E Freebie

Thank you for the good lucks and wishes regarding my fixing my work computer. I can't believe how invasive spyware can be and how had I known little about computers it would have been a disaster. I ended up having to run Malwarebytes and Ad-Aware which are two free programs to get rid of the darn things. Ran Malware twice 370 items removed, then the second run 164, and in Ad-Aware 183 and the computer now runs smoothly. Thank you!

So I have some tape words suggestions for a freebie, but not many element suggestions so if you have any at all let me know. I am going to spend next week working on more element sets so let me know what you may want to see in these kits.

Mischief Element D Freebie

I have to tell you all that I ended up with Spyware on my computer at work from an e-mail that was sent to me by a friend, and because I wasn't thinking, I clicked okay and spend a couple hours today working on getting that spyware removed. AGGG I won't know until tomorrow when I go back to work if the software I ran managed to get everything but I'm keeping my figures crossed.

Michief D Paper Freebie

Had a short day today-got up this morning after having slept in only to go back to bed again after eating breakfast. I get migraines and today of course on a nice sunny day I get one and end up sleeping most of the day away from the sun and warmth. Also means that none of my housework I wanted to get done today didn't get done. I guess that's what I'll be doing tomorrow night after work.

Everyone seems to be enjoying the patterned papers I created for both kits. I'm also having fun with creating kits for everyone and seeing how many of you are visiting my blog everyday. Its also very encouraging to read all your comments and makes creating these worthwhile.

Letter D Freebie

It was a busy day here, and nice to have the sun out for most of it. Managed to get the porch swing put away for the winter. Just need to make sure the little things, like the garden hose is put away, the snow shovels are handy in the garage and I've made an appointment to get snow tires are accomplished tomorrow. Monday won't seem so bad then.

It is so encouraging to read all the comments and see the number of downloads. I'm excited to see what you all come up with using my colour swatches for these kits. I think its going to be fun to see what everyone comes up with.

So its finally Friday after a short week and it doesn't feel like the work week was short enough. LOL. Its been so busy at work and here at home. Alexandra the youngest who is 14 plays High School Basketball for the Bears (that's the name of her Team) is away in Ottawa for the weekend for a tournament. Son is off with his friends for the evening, and the oldest has to work. Other son is in St. Jean Quebec at Basic Training... so its just me and the laptop tonight....lol.

Princess D Alphabet Freebie

Oh it was a busy day at work after the long weekend and I had a Scuba Diving Club Meeting tonight. It lasted a little longer than usual as we watched a video one of the members had made of his trip to the Galapagos and I have to say... I've discovered my dream vacation. The wildlife, the fish, and scenery were amazing and this was just a snorkeling trip he took. I think if I ever got the chance to go I'd think I'd died and gone to heaven with all the wonderful aquatic life to be found there.

For those that read yesterday's post, and commented, yes I was very fortunate as a child and now as an adult to have my family have the camp and the memories growing up there and spending my summers there with my brothers. I grew up on a farm, and as many of you realize, farming doesn't pay and poor sometimes doesn't always cover all the bills, but we were always very rich in love and family and I have wonderful memories. As an adult I realize and appreciate the work and effort it took on my parents part to give us those memories. Spending hours in the garden weeding was not punishment but a way to keep food on the table and that poor bull that we had to sell that we hand raised was not Dad being mean but a way to pay the taxes on the property or pay for something else as equally important. So to my parents, thank you for all that you gave my brothers and I as children. Love you very much.

Princess Papers Freebie

I know many of you have been waiting for some patterned papers, I have a few sets to give away but I think that these are my favorites. They will be available until I post the boys papers on Friday evening.

I had a great time at the camp this weekend even though it was a bit cold. Here are a few pictures of the camp. It was built by my grandfather many many years ago, he ran a tourist camp there for many years in Loring, Ontario. This was the main house where my Grandparents lived with my dad and my aunt. Grandma would cook for some of the tourists and they would eat in the main dinning room on the main floor. The camp has had a few renovations in the past few years but we still use a generator for electricity, outhouses and are lucky enough to have a well and running water even though its cold. Mom kept half a dozen pots on the stove so we would have hot water this weekend.
My brother Marcel was there and I had not seen him in about two years so it was really nice to spend some time with him. He is a contractor in Toronto CBU (Contracting By Us) and keeps busy-so if you need a contractor...lol, take a look at his work gallery here....I may be biased but if you look at the historical renovations under featured projects its amazing the work he has done, I can't believe my brother did all that.
This is the view from the beach, it really is my favorite place in the world. It was nice that the weather was good too because there is only boat access. Would have been terrible had it been raining. Luckily we had some sun, the water was fairly calm and the turkey was done to perfection. Thanks to my Mom, mu Aunt, my cousins and if I must say so, I did a decent job on the pies.

Just a quick note as this is an automatic posting for today, I'm at the camp tonight with my family for our Thanksgiving here in Canada. I have been looking forward to this all week. Will be different, no power except the generator, no Internet, no cell phone service but we do have a phone there if necessary. My daughter Alexandra who is 14 thinks its going to be torture, for me its going to be a bit of heaven. Mischief Letter C Freebie

Well, last night was a joy and Bridgette was an angel. She arrived around 8 and left around 11, slept for most of the time she was here. I couldn't help myself though and had to hold her even though she was sleeping peacefully. It was so nice to hold her in my arms-and yes, it was nice giving her back as I kept thinking oh, I could never do 2 AM feedings then get up and go to work in the morning.

So, as I write my 14 year old Alexandra is siting here asking me if I'm on Twitter... she says... "You know you have no life when....." Kids eh.... and wants to know "Who reads this stuff anyway!" Guess she doesn't realize that someone out there is just like me, reading the blogs of other designers happy to know their life is just as normal, and boring as mine.... (Alex is laughing right now as she reads this over my shoulder)

She is a little over a month old and I'm so excited as my kids are now 21, 19, 18 and the youngest is 14. I kind of miss this, ...sort of. lol

Princess C Paper Freebie

Why is it when you get up even just a few minutes late, you find yourself running further behind than those few minutes? I didn't get up out of bed when my alarm went off this morning-I only procrastinated long enough to decide what to wear and somehow the garbage didn't get put out, son ended up being late for school and I went to work starving because I didn't get a chance to eat breakfast. Funny how that goes sometimes-don't worry, I wolfed down the spagettii I brought for lunch on my break when I realized I was meeting girlfriends for lunch at the sub shop.

Princess Letter C Freebie

I'm not a Monday morning fan. It never seems the weekend was long enough or that I had enough time to finish everything I wanted to do. Today was no exception as the kids had a PA Day and I had to go to work. It would have been nice to have had the day with them however I guess that happens from time to time. At least I'll have a long weekend next week and will be able to enjoy Thanksgiving with the kids at the camp with my family.

I really like how these luggage tags turned out. I think I like these better than the one's I did for the girls set. Perhaps somewhere down the road I'll create some for the girls using this style.

Mischief B Paper Freebie

Ah, the weekend is finally here. I came home thinking it was so nice to have a weekend to relax then I looked around and realized I have a 14 year old daughter, `17 year old son, and that my 21 year old daughter and her six month old Rottweiler dog are all here. Its going to be a relaxing weekend I think as I notice the dog has chewed up another pair of my sandals and my favorite knitting needles that I paid a ridiculous $20 for but are exactly what I need for knitting socks.

It wouldn't be so bad if that was all the dog had chewed up since its been here but as far as my wardrobe goes other than today's new chew items, she has destroyed two pairs of dress shoes, two pairs of sandals and a bra, silk stockings, socks and miscellaneous items.

Someone ask if I was going to be doing patterned papers, the answer is yes. Before I post the D items I will be uploading solid, folded, striped and patterned papers. If you have any suggestions for papers, or elements, please let me know as I will be working on them most of next week to complete and upload.
