Mischief P Papers

Well, I wish I had time to do everything I had wanted to today however there are just only so many hours in one day. Kids were able to pick up thier pants from the tailor for school tomorrow... gotta love school uniforms! It is expensive at first-however in the long run so much easier. I just wish they had the same uniforms and would not grow so much one year to the next. I like how organized and professional it makes them look.

Mischief Letter P Freebie

Well, I did manage to sleep in today-I was thrilled with that! Much needed sleep made the day that much better and we managed to get a few things done around the house (including cleaning the oven.) Date night also didn't happen, however I did get a chance to pick up some wine which I guess I may enjoy tomorrow night while Sean is at work.

There was one comment made by Michelle saying she wished the weather was warmer so she could enjoy the swing from yesterdays posting. I wish it was warmer here too- it was -17 here today (and that was the high). Tomorrow we are expecting a high of -19 so I'm also looking forward to warmer weather as well.

Princess Element Freebie

It took me awhile tonight to find my inspiration. I guess the long day at work and the long week just drained it out of me. I have element idea's however, they don't always seem to fit or match the mood I'm in and well... tonight it took me a few hours to get elements together I liked. Good thing I have the boys elements planned out now, perhaps I'll spend some time tomorrow making up a list of element packs I want to create for some of the upcoming letters.

So tonight's elements are based on one of my favorite pastimes as a child, sitting in a swing under the tree, looking out over the fields at the flowers. (I grew up on a farm) I spent countless hours either in a tree or under one, usually with a book in hand daydreaming. Hope you find inspiration and keep your Quick Page's coming. Princess Papers P

Well, the weekend is almost here-I'm ready for a day off. Friday should be a really busy day for me at work. End of the month always is though. Plans for me this weekend-I'm not sure yet, but I'm tempted to kidnap Sean for an hour and take him to Twigg's (a local coffee shop where they roast their own coffee) for cappuccino and cheesecake and an hour alone. Four kids at home, I think a little sanity time together would be nice.

TC has finally chosen a school to attend, so starting Monday, four kids, four different schools. Doesn't that sound like fun! I'm looking forward to Parent Teacher Interview night.

Princess & Mischief QP Freebie's

Well, Bullet is still here for another night. Rain and now snow have caused icy conditions on the roads so her owners are not back until tomorrow. Good thing Sean does not work tomorrow as the last two nights I don't think he slept too well. Last night when he came to bed Bullet the Pitbull we are dog sitting was lying in bed next to me, her back against me, head on the pillow, legs out towards Sean's side of the bed. She did move when Sean came to bed but not by much at first. lol.

I have the peanut gallery sitting next to me, telling me I'm so weird, and no one actually reads this....and not to put LOL in capitals...(oh no...don't do that she says) Alexandra is here tonight trying to study for her Art Exam tomorrow, making comments the way 14 year olds who know everything do. She is chuckling as she is reading this as I type reminding me I'm not even funny. Little do kids realize we only gain a true sense of humour once we have kids.

Other than that, the dogs had a good day according to the kids. They were happy today as Exams were cancelled because of the rain causing the roads to be sheer ice on the outskirts of town. I was at work, so I didn't mind them being home-I left them chores to do, some of which did get done. Our first night with Bullet was okay, she cried during the night however when Sean went to work, she crawled into bed with me and slept just fine for the next two hours. Guess I'll be leting her sleep with me tonight so she gets a better sleep. (Me too!) Here are your elements for tonight, I will be back tomorrow with the P Letters from the Princess Kit. Mischief O Paper Freebie

Well as of tonight there is a pit bull named Bullet in addition to the rest of the zoo at our house. One of Sean's guys from work is out of town for a few days and we agreed to add her to the zoo we have here. She is very timid and beautiful and gets along just fine with Jersey, Tanya's Rottweiler. We only have her until Tuesday but I'm sure she will make life a little more interesting and entertaining while she is here.

Mischief O Letter Freebie

Well despite the fact that my day started off with me having a migraine the day ended well. I slept in which after all the sleepless nights before Sean came home was very nice. Sean's alarm went off at 5:30 am but I was able to fall back to sleep immediately and sleep in. The kids and I did some cleaning and I re-organized the pantry. Nice to have things organized and everything in its place, even if for only a day. With three kids in the house full time (four starting on Wednesday) a Rottweiler, a ferret, a lizard and two sugar gliders, it doesn't take long for things to get disorganized.

I have had a couple people send me previews of their quick pages. I've sent links to upload them to a 4shared account if you didn't have a blog to post your pages on. Thank you for all your hard work, I will get your papers to you in the next day or so. I'm hoping to spend tomorrow afternoon working on some of them after I do the Mischief Papers. Princess Element O Freebie

I must apologise for not posting these freebies last night. I did not expect to have to drive to Sudbury with Sean to take Alexandra to basketball. It is an hour and a half drive one way just for her to practice with this team. She has been playing for them four years now, I should be use to it and expecting it however last night I really wasn't prepared. It was all good though, nice drive with Sean while Alex talked to her team mate that car-pooled with us. Then we hit Costco's and then back to they gym where Sean and I sat in the school cafeteria watching Criminal Minds on my laptop while she finished up her practice. (I know we are boring).

Mischief Element Freebie

I almost was not able to post tonight's freebie. All day I was unable to access my 4shared account and Internet and I thought it was my connection until someone e-mailed me tonight and mentioned they were having difficulties downloading my papers from 4shared. My Internet connection seemed really slow and many pages wouldn't even come up, I would get a diagnostic error in explorer. Glad its fine now though. Unfortunately that mean I was not able to log on and put the paper packs I wanted in the store today. I will put together the previews on my lunch break so I can log into the store to upload tomorrow evening.

Mischief N Paper Freebie

Well, I was able to sleep in this morning and it was very very nice. Didn't realize it was eleven when I woke up and Sean was getting ready to go into work. Well, since we didn't get time together this morning, I'm going to go pick him up at midnight and stay up and watch the episode of Numb3rs we missed this week. Kind of a date, I'll make some tea and we have cheesecake we can share. I'm going to spend some time tomorrow working on some more element sets for the upcoming weeks.

Oh it is so nice to have the weekend here. It has been busy at work this week and I'm looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. Princess N Element Freebie

Just want to say thank you to everyone that inquired about how Alex was doing and wished her well. She is feeling better today and did go to school without any problems.

Work has been busy and for some reason tonight I just couldn't get the hang of putting together an Element Set. I think perhaps my call to the local Career College and signing up for the Medical Secretary course may have something to do with my being distracted. I will have to see if I can get OSAP to help pay for tuition -if not then I won't be taking the course as it is full time days, for 45 weeks and will not be able to work full time at my job however I don't mind working someplace part time to fill in the gap. Hence my mind is elsewhere tonight but I went through what I had made and decided on some frames and string ties along with a couple pieces of ric-rak and buttons. The Elements have been re-sized to fit on the page and not all the buttons are shown. Please enjoy tonight's freebie. I'm not sure if I'll be back tomorrow or if it will be Friday before I post again as I have to go to Sudbury which is an hour and a half away, after work tomorrow and then drive back after sitting around for two hours watching Alexandra and her team mates play basketball. Luckily there is another girl from North Bay playing on the Sudbury team this year so we can split up the driving to every other practice. (Alex has practice Monday and Thursday's in Sudbury)

Princess N Paper Freebie

Well, it was a beautiful sunny day here which in January means cold. About -20 Celsius. It is suppose to warm up however to -2 tomorrow. I know, some people can't believe how cold it gets here... and believe it or not we have had plenty of -30 some days here, just not this winter so far... knock on wood.

Alex got up feeling terrible again but went to school anyway. She is feeling better tonight. Sean and I spent the evening watching Fringe and CSI Miami which was on TV last night but we drove to Sudbury to pick up Alexandra from her basketball tournament so we missed it.

Princess Letter N Freebie

Well, I'm back to posting at the end of the day now as in the morning if something goes wrong in uploading I end up rushing to get to work or holding the kids up. Spent a fun day at the hospital today, this time for my daughter Alexandra. She was at a basketball tournament this weekend in London and the parent she went down with told me Alex got up at 4AM and laid on the bathroom floor with pain in her stomach. When we got her home last night she still had pain but she said she was okay. (Her way of not going to the hospital I think) so this morning when she didn't want to get up, I took her to the ER. After an ultrasound, a CAT scan, blood work etc they have determined it is NOT her appendix but it is probably woman problems, even though there is no indication of problems in that area and her pain is on her left side and radiates into the back on that side. She is still feeling rough her pain is not getting any better and thankfully is not getting worse. Tanya and Sean are home all week so if we get up in the morning and she is still feeling sick they will be around to look after her.

Mischief M Element Freebie

So as I'm writting my blog it is almost 12:30 AM (I'm setting this to post later this morning) Sean just got home from work and Marc my 18 year old son is in our bedroom play wrestling with Sean as I have my laptop on a TV tray trying to zip up tonight's file and upload it. Sean is also a Use of Force Instructor and Marc it seems always tries to get his play punches in and somehow he is constantly surprised that he always ends up the looser. Oh did I mention Marc's friend is standing at our bedroom door laughing at the entertainment these two are providing as Sean tries to give Marc tips on what he is doing wrong... and why he is loosing so badly as now, Sean is walking Marc out the door into the hallway as his arms are all twisted up and he is bent over ... but Marc is determined and still struggling and says he isn't done with the old man yet. I think some days I'm the only parent in this house.

It was a long day yesterday as after work my oldest daughter and I drove to Sudbury to take Alexandra the youngest to a basketball practice. She is going out of town this weekend with her team on a tournament-good luck to them. On a good note, the drive was good, lots of girl talk both ways with a trip to Costco's in Sudbury. Picked up a nice pair of yoga pants and jacket for myself...perhaps I'll get to keep them once Alexandra comes home as they are in one of her favorite colours...green. (The downfall of having teen girls the same size as you-although, sometimes occasionally it does work in my favor.)

So, please enjoy tonight's M Papers. I didn't get a chance to tell you about the disaster with the M letters..lol. I had reformatted my computer New Years and when I re-installed Photoshop it set the default measurement's to centimeters and pixels for the fonts not pts which I had been using for the letters. I created chipboard and the enamel letters for M to Q thinking I was getting ahead... low and behold when I went to do the previews there letters were taking up way too much room and I began to wonder why and decided to compare the M letter to the L's which had been completed before my re-install. Good thing I did that because the M's I had created were MUCH larger than what they should have been and I had to redo them. Guess I'll be redoing the letters I had done last weekend...lol.

KS Mischief Letter M Freebie

It is begining to be a long week. Had another night where I was up during the night and not able to fall back to sleep right away. Also because I lost about 14 pounds while I had the flu in November and was ill in December (not that I had any fat to loose) I'm constantly freezing (I'm down to 93lbs from 108lbs). Luckily I'm starving all the time now and eating, even at work during the day. I'm fortunate I work in a small office and my boss Lise brings in bags of apples, grapes and cheese or I'll bring in yogurts, or nuts and granola to snack on.

Yesterday was busy at work and I managed to get to bed at a decent hour. Sean was back to work for his first two days this week since he returned home on tour-he made out just fine. Wednesday will be a day off for him before he goes back on shifts. Twelve hour days...agggg. What is worse is that it will be from noon to midnight or 11AM to 11PM, four on, four off..... doesn't leave much time for us as a family on the days he works but at least those nights I can plan to work on stuff for the blog and try to keep my computer time to a minimum when he is home.

I'm looking for suggestions for future element freebies you may want to see. I'd also like to thank everyone again for all the nice comments and e-mails. Its nice that everyone seems to appreciate all the work that gets put into creating these kits. I've really been enjoying it and as we are now almost half way through the alphabet... I'm beginning to think of what I may do next after Princess and Mischief. Not sure yet, but I have some idea's that I'm writing down that I'll look over closer to Z.

It was a long day yesterday however a good day that was productive. It was a long day at work and by around 3PM I was winding down ready to go home. I was tired-not use to working for a living anymore-but it was nice to be back at work. Did I mention that I was BUSY?!

Princess Letter M Freebie

On a bit of a new schedule today with Sean going to work at 7:30 and finishing at 4. I got up this morning with him at 6:15 and made breakfast, waffles and tea while he showered. We ate breakfast together before work which I think might be for the first time in all the years we have been together. (On a work day I mean-usually he has to be at work for 5:30 AM-sorry didn't want to get up that early!) Worked out fine though, I showered at he started the car and shoveled the drive way and then took him to work. I got home and the kids were up and showered, eating the waffles I had made and Alex had the dishwasher emptied and filled up again with breakfast and someones before bed snack dishes. I have dinner planned out so Tanya should be starting that this afternoon for us. I think its been a great start to the day so far.

Princess & Mischief Freebie

Oh it has been a trying week. Good news is I'm finally done my medication and I have a Dr's appointment in a little over a week to get my blood tested again to see how my white blood cell count is going. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and staying away from everyone that has a cold or flu.

So my week-I've had major computer issues. For some reason Photoshop has been giving me problems. It suddenly stopped allowing me to save anything in .png format. I'm still having issues but at least I can save items to my desktop in .png format and then renaming it and moving it to where I need the element. That is after having saved everything I had on my computer to an external hard drive, then re-installing windows and Photoshop. Which let me tell you is a whole day endevor when you install all the necessary updates and programs.

I hope eveyone had a great Christmas Holidays and New Year. I spent my New Years Eve sleeping but the kids and Sean were nice enough to wake me up in time for Midnight to toast the New Year in with a glass of Champagne. Went right back to bed though-lol. I'm still tired in the afternoon by around 3 even though I'm off my medication but the naseau doesn't seem to hit until then either so it makes for a more comfortable day.

So Monday I will start with the letter M which is the end of the first half of the alphabet. In the mean time please enjoy this Bag of Words which include 83 Chirstmas and New Years Words. Both Princess and Mischief sets have the same words in each zip file and yes once again the bag is included in the download. I also know that many of you have been wondering about my Christmas Kit I created, I'm going to try to get that uploaded this weekend-I still need to create the previews and zip the files and then upload them.
