My April Girl Freebie

Well, since I started with one daughter yesterday, I better continue the trend of giving out another daughters Birth Month Ornament. This time it is for Tanya my oldest daughter who is now 20 who was born in April.

They grow up way too fast and its amazing just how they can surprise you. Tanya's room use to look like a bomb hit it and I would get after her to clean it up-never did happen to my liking....lol. Now, when she is in town, she comes over while I'm at work and cleans my house. Her boyfriend/husband owns the tattoo shop around the corner and sometimes she comes over if she has errands in town and waits for him to finish up work so they can go home together. And while she is here, she can't sit still and finds things to do around the house. I tease her and ask her if she wants to move back in.

Before the freebie though, I want to show everyone the pumpkins that my son Marc and I carved tonight. He is a teen therefore I'm sure you can understand the puking pumpkin. I did mine as Winnie the Pooh as Alexandra just loves Winnie.

November Freebie

Wow, I'm so happy that everyone is enjoying the ornaments I have made. Thank you for all the lovely comments.

Well, Sean is only gone for another 15 days. I can hardly wait for him to come home. Its hard to believe that 23 days have already gone by already. He flies into North Bay late on the 12th of November and I've taken the 13th off so we can spend some time together. I know, I'm an incurable romantic.

Other than that my only real excitement today was this morning. The bus went by early and my son Marc missed it so we took the next bus together. I'm glad he missed the early bus even though he was late for school. We picked up Tim Hortons coffee while we waited and he said..."Sean is lucky to have such a beautiful 29 year old woman, what more could he want." I'd said I was feeling old earlier, needless to say he made my day! (I'm 39 and felt every year of it this morning) I hope he doesn't read this blog but I'd be willing to let him be late daily if he gave me compliments like that all the time.

October Baby Xmas Freebie

Its not near enough to Christmas just yet but it is tradition in my household that every year I buy the kids a new Christmas Ornament that way when they move out they have ornaments from childhood to start their own tree's with their family. I have started looking though for this years ornaments. This is where the idea for today's freebie came from.

I usually try to find an ornament that reflects the child's tastes and style. Like when Tanya was in her early teens, I found an ornament with an elf on the phone because...well our phone seemed to be glued to her ear at times. For Robert, I found a Knight because he liked to play soldier, Marc I found a police car because he wanted to be a police man when he grew up and Alexandra well was a princess...so I got her a mouse dressed up as a princess.

Since it would be impossible to create an individual ornament for everyone, I thought it might be nice to do one for each month of the year for a baby, and then possibly for individuals, like Mom, Dad, Grandma, Son, Daughter... so send in your requests for generic words to put on the ornaments and I'll see what I can do to accommodate everyone.


The colour I chose for tonight's freebie comes from the Birthstone for October which is Rose Quartz. I may decide to do an opal later on since this really is not suitable for most boys.

October Freebie

Well, Sean is still in Alberta and I'm still missing him lots. I don't want to count how many more days to go until we get to the single digit numbers. I really have been missing him lots lately and can hardly wait until he comes home. I know I'm lucky he will only have been gone such a short time, other wives have their husbands gone for six months or more at a time. I'm not ready for that just yet.

Okay, tonight's freebie was a spur of the moment thing to create... I was working on something else to offer, but then I thought of doing this and voila,... here is tonight's freebie

Paper Freebie

I've been busy with work and the kids and have not had alot of time to create freebies. Tonight I had dinner with my daughter Tanya who is 20, it was just the two of us... I think the last time we ate alone was probably when she was one or two... after that well... there were brothers and sisters and rarely ever a moment with just the two of us having dinner. We cooked dinner together, chatted away about her and her boyfriend and enjoyed a glass of wine, it was very nice.

So tonights freebie comes from a new kit I'm working on. I'm pretty much done the papers for the kit and I have a pretty good idea of what I want to do for the rest of the it. I was inspired by the papers to create a kit where I could show off the women in my family and use the doodling as a journal or story area of sorts. My Grandmother was a teacher, a wife and mother. My Aunt followed suit. I'm sure they both have doodles on notebooks, receipts or odd slips of paper. My daughter, well the youngest, she is just a social butterfly and there have been plenty of notes and doodles on paper around the house from all three girls over the years.

Whoo Hoo & A Freebie of course

Okay, I'm very excited today after a rotten day yesterday.

Lets start with what happened yesterday.....I went and grabbed lunch at a sub shop here in town and within about an hour I was feeling very sick so Lise boss suggests I go home. I was riding my electric scooter home and as my luck would have it don't I get pulled over by a cop. He asked me for my license and registration and my drivers license. As I handed him my drivers license (for a car) I told him that I wasn't trying to be a smart ass or anything, but my scooter, was actually a power assisted bicycle and I didn't need a license or registration for it. (I waited for the hasstle because my son and husband were both given a difficult time when they were pulled over). So as I'm sitting 30 feet from my driveway ready to hurl my lunch, back he comes and tells me he hadn't seen one of these before asks me lots of questions about it and takes a look at the ministry of transportation sticker. All I can think of is "Please Lord, don't let me hurl now as he is bent over looking at this sticker on my bike". He was very courteous and polite and told me he had pulled me over because I was wearing a bicycle helmet and thought I needed a motorcycle helmet on the scooter. (I don't)

I went home, threw up, put the bike away, got sick again.... went to bed and got up a little later in the evening. Went to bed early though and slept until 1:30pm. I was just drained!

So today... Whoo hooo... I'm at a new store Digital Scrapin Designs and was in their newsletter that came out today which you can read here AND I'm lucky enough to work right next to "Two Girls & A Scrapbook Shoppe" and they have added the link to my blog on the left hand side of their page under "digi scraps". Thank you so much Leslie!

Quick Page Freebie

I've been trying to complete a scrapbook for my Best Friend who got married in May using her wedding pictures so that I can create not only a scrapbook for her but a DVD using the scrapbook pages. I thought it would be nice to send to her Maid of Honour and her Parents. Its been slow going but I think I'm on a roll. Therefore tonights Freebie will be the first page I created for Mary & Ryan for you to use for your own Wedding Story.

I have to hurry to get these done as I have to get a head start on the Baby Album I'm going to have to create next. Another Frame Freebie

I'm slowly working on creating different frames to upload to the store. Today I managed to upload two different frame sets below are the previews.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving & Family Frame Freebie

I just want to wish everyone a "Happy Thanksgiving" wether you are Canadian or not. It was a peaceful day here at home for me as we had our family gathering yesterday and my youngest daughter Alex went to Grandma & Grandpa's afterwards and Marc spent the day at his friends house. I was able to sleep in which was great because I was up at 6AM yesterday putting the Turkey in the oven.

Okay, so it took awhile to put this together tonight as this weekend is our Thanksgiving here in Canada. I've been volun-told that dinner is at my place...lol. Part 1 of a Freebie

I had to take a night away from the computer...it almost ended up being two nights however. Last night I was just not feeling well, tired mostly as I haven't been sleeping the best as I'm adjusting to Sean being away. Tonight, well I was at the dentist at 4pm and you know how those things go, especially since I've put it off for so long and I knew I had a cavity. OUCH! My dentist is great though I shouldn't complain I just hate going. I got home from that and had to take a nap due to all the trauma though, my face is a little sore due to where the cavity was... yes at the very, very back.

Sean made it to Wainright, Alberta okay yesterday with only one glitch in the travel arangements. The bus from Edmonton to Wainright ... well they lost a wheel ... not just a tire... sheared the bolts right off apparently. Everyone was fine, no one got hurt and all passengers made it to the base. Its going to be a short blog again tonight, the kids are all out and Sean & I are actually home alone. Whoo hooo.... we are sitting here at the table together drinking tea, each of us on our laptops, me working on my blog and he is going over stuff from the course he is on this week. He is getting a refresher in investigating Fatal Accidents. Sounds like fun doesn't it? (Not for me I tell you).
